93' Chevy 2500 5.7 V8 saturating air filter, can change the filter and starts and runs fine until air filter get saturated again then don't won't to start. Can turn off ignition then turn it over and it'll start. Is there problems with the injector/intake gasket with these 5.7?

    Just turned a 100,000. Should of been more specific, saturating air filter with gas. Will start and run fine until air filter gets too saturated. Then it vapor locks or something having to keep changing the filter.

This sounds to be a problem with the ignition module. The module might produce a fairly nice spark at an idle, but at higher rpm's the spark should intensify, if it doesn't then the car will not run at a higher rpm.

If you had to loosen the engine mounts and raise or lift the engine to gain clearance you may have accidentally pulled apart an electrical connector or cracked the distributor cap when it hit the firewall. good luck

re-torque the intake manifold bolts in the proper pattern. also check that the hose from the filter to the throttle body is hooked up correctly with no air leaks

SOURCE: I have a 93 Chevy G20 VAN G20 with a 4.3L engine

There are three relays all grouped together on the firewall on the passengers side. All three are related to your situated. We can eliminate one of them because you stated that the fuel pump is operating fine. Now that leaves the relay for the ECM(engine control module) this tells the injectors, cold start and run, when and how much fuel to supply and also controls ignition timing and spark advance. The third controls the AC compressor. Now I've got to remind you that I started working on fuel injection systems the day they started failing here in the US around 1972.These were such vehicles as Mercedes, Saab and Volvo. I've worked on every configuration, TBI, MPI, diesel etc.etc. I may on occasion cross one fact with another or mispronounce certain aspect of a system however, These three injectors are where you want to concentrate your efforts. With some finnesse you can swap the harnesses from one to another. If your car runs fine and your AC suddenly does not, then you know that that relay is faulty. Do this until you get your answer. started car had only just gone around the corner and heard a burst sound then hissing thought it might of been radiator hose. stopped car checked main radiator hoses took radiator cap of released pressure ,but hissing continued sounded like it was coming from mid part of engine any ideas what it could be..

93 chrysler t&c awd changed fuel pump and filter, van ran fine again for about 2 months now won't start and don't hear the fuel pump. changed the oil pressure sending unit and still won


fuel pick-up in tank is blocked it has a sock over the end as a gross filter to keep out any big junk from getting sucked into the pump and causing damage to it. the sock can get so plugged up that no fuel will flow, causing the pump to run for a short time then with no fuel flow to cool it it trips the safety and shuts off

95 chevy silverado v8 it starts and runs fine in park but it stalls out as soon as i pit it in gear.


The first thing i would do is check the fuel pressure it should be 9-13 psi with key on and engine off.If its not within these specs then first change the fuel filter and if pressure is still low replace fuel pump.Let me know what you have.

200 lincoln engine problem


I was having the same problem between 40 and 50 as well as the miss fires after changing a coil that was miss firing one it reached running temp. the problem vanished so check your coils.

93 lumina euro 3.1 won't start


change intake gaskets you will find it blown thats why your problem happens when your engine is warm the alum. intake warms up and expands opening the blown gasket

if you can check for spark when it wont start and fuel pressure and the service port , would be great information , otherwise pattern failure is ignition module and crank sensor (replace them as a set) , after cools off it will run again.
