The cables by the rear brakes are probably corroded up. Either use a lot of penetrating oil and work with them to free up, or replace the cables.

SOURCE: my 2000 dodge durango hesitates sometimes when

I understand from the question that your car is manual? if that's being the case, I would suggest checking the clutch because if its worn out then that's why you are not getting enough force on the differential. replace the clutch if it has never been replaced is my first consideration.

A mechanic guy will tell you if the clutch is good or bad by simply testing the clutch. Let him also tell you what are the things that you need to replace in order to fix the problem. Diagnostics are free most of the times just tell them that you want to know what the problem is.

Hope that helps. let me know.

SOURCE: My gear shift on my

The BTSI (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock) has a small spring retainer on the park safety. A small plastic tab breaks & releases the spring. This requires the shifter to be disassembled in order to be repaired.

If you are lucky, your brake interlock is the only problem. There is a bypass switch located beside the gear selector. Remove the small "cubby" bin located next to the gear shift by simply lifting up to remove. You will note a small access port and a pink button contained therein. Press the pink button to override the brake interlock.

If you still cannot shift into park, then the shifter must be removed for the spring repair. Even if yours is still under warranty, you will get another shifter that will eventually fail due to poor engineering

I HAVE A 2007 DODGE MAGNUM WITH A 3.5 ENGINE. I KEEP GETTING A #4 CYLINDER MISFIRE CODE. I HAVE DONE A VALVE JOB,CHANGED THE SPARK PLUG,CHANGED COILWIRE,AND THE INJECTOR. WHATS WRONG?

Have you try swapping components such as plugs, coils, with another cylinder to see if the problem follows with the swap? Make sure plug isn't cracked or carbon tracking. How about a compression check, injector pulse? Injector pulse will determine if the circuit is open or if the computer just can't command that injector open.

Transmissions appears to be going out, I have only had the vehicle for two years, 2007 dodge magnum. It only has 80,000. miles, when purchased it had 40,000 miles. Should I be having to replace...

Change the Transmission fluid & Filter. Without knowing the exact behavior of the transmission, somtimes if the fluid is low or dirty or the filter is bad it can cause problems that mimic a faulty tranny.

What problems does a crank sensor do on a 05 dodge magnum

The crank sensor on mine went out at around 80,000 miles and caused the car to stall upon stopping. Replacement of the sensor appears to have fixed the problem over the last 5,000 miles.

When do i change the 4-speed w/overdrive automatic transmission fluid in my 2007 dodge 1500 ram it has a 3.7 magnum v-6, i just turned 30000 miles

i personally recommend around every 50 000 miles. i also have a ram, have done this, and never had an issue. i would also recommend having your differential and transfer case fluid changed at the same time. good luck!

My 2006 Dodge Magnum hesitates sometimes while in

I had the same problem. I replaced the crank shaft position sensor and it solved my problem. It would stall at intersections and while under light acceleration. It also caused loss of cruise control and a stutter when at highway speeds. Replaced crank sensor and its been running solid for 5,000 miles. $125 fix self installed.
