Cell phone?
stay on = stuck? (injects full time?)
MPI, most MPI cars are PNP, Plus, neg. Plus fired.
that is all injectors on one side are 12v key on(power bus)
then the ECU fires each injector by a pulled ground (a transistor does that)
if the ground pulse is missing
then"
1: the injector coil open (burned open , infinity ohms)
2: or the ecu driver is dead.
use and ohm meter (resistance ) DMM and measure the coil on all
4 ,they will all read the same , many are 10ohms
0 ohms shorted, way different burned up, Infinity, burned totally up.

SOURCE: no injector pulse

hello sir,

absence of ground pulse means there is some kind of shorting circuit in your control circuit.

which can make the ground pulse to get shorted there itself preventing it to reach the circuit properly.

thank you

don't forget to rate the solution

good day

SOURCE: no pulse,no ground to injectors 1999 lincoln town

If you used a noid light to check the pulse at the injector wires and didn't get any to light then the quad drivers in the ecm are bad. No way to fix this. you will have to get a new computer and have it programmed. you can get a computer at the junk yard as long as the numbers match, and there are a series of numbers that will go to that car. you have to go to the dealer to have it programmed, unless you find one with exact numbers.

not sure about yours but just to give you some kind of idea on alot of vehicles the computer controls the ground. You will read voltage but no ground enough to drive you insane.

Hi I have a 2004 mustang gt and we change the fuel pump and fuel filter and then we check the injectors with a tester and bank 1234 on the passenger side is out and 5678 on the left side is on and ain't no...

Sounds like the power splice to bank one is lost. By injection tester, do you mean a noid light?

Do you understand how the fuel injection circuit works? When the ignition key is in the on position, all of the injectors will have constant battery voltage applied to them. Bank 2 (#'s 5,6,7,8) is good- they are all pulsing. The same power wire is spliced to all 8 injectors. The other wire at each injector is the ground wire, and each ground wire goes separately into the engine computer to be internally grounded for a split second. That is the pulse of the injector, and is when it sprays fuel into the cylinder.

So think about it. Your 5,6,7,8 is working right, but 1,2,3,4 are not pulsing. Not likely 1234, all 4 separate ground wires, just went bad like that. More likely that 1234 not getting voltage to them through that common hot wire. You can check it real fast: check for voltage on any injector connector on bank 1, with the key in ON. The inj. connector only has two wires, a power and a ground wire. One of them should be hot in on. If no power on bank 1 injectors, trace it back to the engine harness. Somewhere, the power wire will splice off between bank 1 and bank 2.

89 pickup 22re. no fire on no. 1 cylinder

It could be a fault in the wiring for #1 injector, or a defective spark plug in #1.

All four injectors have a hot wire to them with key on, the same black with red stripe wire is spliced to all four. Check if #1 has this hot wire with key on. The injector ground wire for #1 and #3 is a white wire with red stripe. These two ground wires splice together before the ground wire enters the computer. So the computer pulses #1 and #3 injectors simultaneously. (Injectors 2 and 4 have a similar set up, with a white wire being their ground.) If you have a hot wire to #1 injector, but no pulse on it, but #3 injector is pulsing (putting fuel into the cylinder), then the ground wire for #1 may be broke before it connects with the #3 injector ground. The wires and the splice are probably buried inside the engine wiring harness, so one could check for continuity on the ground side for 1 and 3. With key off, use an ohmmeter and check resistance between the grounds for #1 injector connector and #3-check on the harness side of the injector connectors-it should show low resistance-low ohms value. If very high resistance is shown, trace the ground wire from #1 injector.

Cam position sensor tells computer when to synchronize injector pulse. Have you checked for trouble codes?
Check injector fuse. Injectors should have constant voltage supplied when key is on.
You didn't give year and model. Injectors are pulsed when the engine computer internally grounds an injector. You may need to check injector circuit.

98 eclipse 2.0 has spark but no injector pulse on #2 or #4

Injectors are pulsed by ECU using ground. You should check if there is any current coming out from fuse box. Most fuse boxes with injector fuses will share two injectors off one pin. So you may have two wires coming out from fuse box, and it is very common to be paired 1-3 & 2-4.

P020 and P0302 Error codes

You need to have the injector circuit for cylinder 2 checked. Possibly the ground for the injector-which goes into the engine computer-may have a bad wire. The power wire for the injector should have power on it anytime the key is on. When the computer internally grounds the individual injectors, the injector will pulse, or spray fuel out into the cylinder. When the injector circuit malfunctions, no pulse, and you get the misfire.

2004 jeep grand Cherokee fuel injectors stay open

If not pulsing, could be a bad pcm. The computer grounds the injectors internally for a split second to pulse them . If trash or debris is not making them stick open, buy a "noid light" for checking injector circuits. Plug it in to #1 or #5 and crank engine over: if circuit is working right, noid light will be blinking. If light is on steady, computer is not interrupting ground to cause pulsing.

My injectors arent pulsing on my 1989 k1500 suburban. I have 12 volt power to the injectors and have replaced the module in the distributior. Any one have an anwser for me

The injector ground circuit must not be working. What causes the pulse is when the computer internally grounds the injector circuit, power is passed across the injector solenoid terminals. All the injector grounds are spliced together on each bank of engine, and run into the computer. So, injector power, but no pulsing would seem a computer malfunction as long as the ground wires are good. Did you check all the injectors for pulse with the noid light, or at least both sides of engine?

No injector pulse

1991 this make you OBD1 . You can access a code by jumping 2 terminals together. The injector pulse is from the PCM . If you have no pulse you need to troubleshoot for spark first . If you dont have spark do spark first then injector pulse comes on. If no injector pulse check fuse in engine junction box.Use a volt meter check grounds at PCM. If all else checks out good replace PCM. You may also want to check the TPS. If this sensor short out in the WOT position you also wont get injector pulse.SO disconnect the TPS. and recheck for injector pulse
