Either one of your cables isn't getting a good enought contact on the battery or solenoid, or the solenoid is bad, or relay for starter is bad.

SOURCE: 1994 Mazda B4000 4WD V6. Check engine light on. Truck

if i remember right if the battery light and check engine light is on, your alternators may be bad. your battery may just have enough to keep it running for a minute or so. you can take it out and get it tested at a auto parts store. or try charging your battery for awhile and see if it stays on longer. if this is completely wrong let me know

SOURCE: truck will not turn over power everywhere so not

Not sure what "power everywhere" means. Have you tried turning pressing and holding the brake, turn the key to release the gear lever ( do not start ) and place truck in neutral and start in that position ? ( making the assumption the truck is an automatic trans )
This is testing to see if there is a problem with the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range ) Sensor.
The Starter Motor Relay is on the firewall, 2 large cables to it, with a smaller AWG wire ( looks to be 16 AWG ) that is Tan w/ Red Stripe. The Tan w/ Red stripe wire is from the DTR, which only has 2 positions to allow the truck to start ( Park

How do you fix it.

If your car battery dies? Not exactly sure the question here but using cables to jump your car will definitely help to jumpstart the battery. If the battery doesn't jump start then you will need to purchase a new one or have it looked at by Ford or a local mechanic.

How can I jumpstart my car from my friends 2009Audi A8

You want to use the battery in the engine compartment, the one the alternator charges. I just connect the batteries directly pole to pole. When you rev up the engine the alternator will increase the output going into your battery.

Jumpstart 1995 oldsmobile aurora

I'm not sure if the Aurora is a special type of car that requires a different way of jumping, but when u jump start most cars, you place the red end of the jumper cables on the positive/ red side of the battery and the black end on the negative. You want to make sure the jumper clamps are touching the metal part of the battery post (so if there's covers on the battery posts, move them so the cables have good connection. The same procedure is used on both cars. Be careful not to touch the end of the cables together, as doing so will make them spark if one end is connected to the running vehicle. Let your car charge a minute then try to start. If it starts, let it charge for 5-10 minutes and run/ drive your car after disconnecting to make sure the battery does not die the next time you shut it off. If it does not start after a few minutes of charging, adjust the clamps to make sure they have a good connection, wait 2-5 minutes longer & try to start your car again. *It is normal to hear the car that is jumping you idle more quietly when your car starts pulling juice from the charged battery. Also, remove jumper cables after charging, making sure not to touch the ends togther- as it will spark again. *it is not necessary to shut off the car that's jumping you before attatching the cables, or after charging. If your car still doesn't start after repeatedly adjusting cables and trying other cables to see if it is the cables not working, you may need a new battery or alternator. I would have the battery tested to see if you need a new battery before considerring the altinator.

Lights and evertything else don't go on so I'm assuming its a completely dead battery.I know wear the battery is on my 1999 lumina but wear is the jumpstart terminal located?

Batteries have either top or side posts--some have both. Uncover the terminals and carefully attach jumper cables. Make sure to maintain the right polarity when you connect the other ebds of the cables to the good battery your are jumping from.

I pulled my van into a friends house yesterday, turned off the engine and then lost power to everywhere. Nothing works anymore and of course won't start up

First off check the fuses under the dash. And make sure battery terminal connections are tight and clean.Check for proper tension (roughly 1/2 inch of deflection) on Alternator belt and that belt is present.Sounds like there is a alternator issue.Did your battery light come on while driving? Have a friend jump start you (follow safe jumpstart procedures or you could damage your friends car or yours ie:Ignition key off,Postive cable goes on first when attaching cables, negative cable comes off first when discconnecting cables. Let charge for 15 min or so before trying to start your vehicle ) If it starts look for a battery light on the dash. If no battery light is on then alternator is probably ok and battery is bad (take it out and have it tested at your local autoparts store). If the light is on then you have an alternator problem. To confirm alternator problem check output voltage across battery terminals. Should be min 13.5-14.5 no more than 14.5 If you have to replace the Alternator make sure battery is good and has a full charge and negative batt. cable is disconnected,if not you could potentially ruin you r new alternator
