Question about 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck
Get a jump, take it to Auto Zone or other parts store, have them run a free diagnostic on the battery, and the alternator. My bet is that it's one of the two that needs replacement.

on my 2004 ram 2500, I had to depress the trip odometer button and turn on the Ignition. all lights on instrument panel will illuminate, continue to hold button in and tach/speedomenter will run full up and back down. once this has completed, the obd codes will be shown in the odometer.

SOURCE: Pickup wont start
well you can short over the starter and see if it starts. honestly i would remove the starter and take it to your local autozone. they will check it for free. also check the start solenoid. they have a tendency to cause the same effect.
