Could be the gasket or the head has come lose, check the torque of the bolts. if has come loose and it is not lost that much oil it should be ok just to re-adjust the bolts back to the propper torque

SOURCE: Jeep Wrangler leaking coolant

IT IS THE WATER-PUMP. PLEASE DON'T WAIT FOR IT TO OVER-HEAT BECAUSE THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE, AND VERY COSTLY. PRICE A HEAD-GASKET JOB AND COMPARE IT TO THE COST OF A WATER PUMP. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE. BEST OF LUCK.

SOURCE: 1992 Toyota Previa van,Oil dripping onto exhaust manifold, replace head gasket? need a free manual!

The toyota previa uses a formed silicone gasket for the valve cover and the cover is held in place by metric shoulder bolts ( 10mm). The valve gasket leaks because you can't get enough preload on the bolts to re-seat the old gasket when it gets old and shrinks. The shoulder bolts only allow you to tighten the gasket enough to seat the shoulder on the bolt. If you continue to torque down the suspected bolts, you will snap the bolt off ( don't ask me how I know this ). You can either 1.)replace the old gasket with a new one or 2.) remove the existing bolts around the leak area and put in new metric bolts that do not have a shoulder. You may want to put in a small sleeve into the existing bolt hole but shorter than the thickness of the valve cover to account for the smaller diameter bolt. You can now torque down the bolt and get enough preload to seal the valve cover without removing the old gasket. Make sure you use a torque wrench ( in-lbs) or be very careful not to snap these small valve cover bolts.

I have antifreeze dripping from my weep hole on my 2004 r1 what other seals do I need to replace besides the mechanical seal?

Weep hole leak usually means water pump is leaking and often due to bad bearings and seal.

What is the problem if the engine oil cannot reach to the cylinder head?after I change to the new cylinder head the engine oil cannot lift to the cylinder head

it means that there is no hole in the head gasket to allow the oil to get to the rocker gear. That means that either you have placed the gasket on the wrong way round or the gasket you have is not exactly right for your engine. Simple check is to remove the cam shaft and see how far a piece of wire can be pushed down the oil hole .

I have a oil leak and i dont know where its coming from

oil leaks from points like bad rocker cover gaskets --loose oil filters---front and rear main seals and oil hoses--- loose head gaskets at the oil hole . Check the ground and see where the oil is dripping to get an idea if the oil is from the front, rear. left or rights side

How far do you fill the radatior

you should always fill your coolant level while vehicle is running. when the thermostat opens level will go down. however, if it "disappears" you have a leak or a serious issue. Look at your oil, if it looks like chocolate milk, you got head gasket issues probably. Also, is there white smoke coming out of exhaust? There is also a weep hole on the water pump. when the pump is going bad, it will leak water from that weep hole.

Overheating

OVERHEATING CAN BE CAUSE BY MANY THINGS LIKE FAULTY THERMOSTAT AND FAULTY RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP,TOO MUCH WATER IN COOLANT SYSTEM NEED 50 / 50 WATER AND ANTIFREEZE.LOOK FOR WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE LEAK, IF COOLANT LEAKING OUT WEEP HOLE WATER PUMP BAD NEED REPLACING.CHECK FOR LOW COOLANT LEVEL, YOUR RADIATOR OVERFLOW JUG SHOULD HAVE COOLANT AT THE FULL COLD MARK IF NOT KEEP ADDING COOLANT INTO COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG UNTIL COOLANT STOP DROPPING AND FULL COLD MARK, IF OVERFLOW COOLANT JUG WAS EMPTY RADIATOR IS LOW ON COOLANT.WHICH CAUSE AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM KEEPING THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR FROM BEING SUBMERGE IN HOT COOLANT WHICH TURN ON THE COOLANT FANS.WHEN ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GET CERTAIN SET TEMPERATURE LIKE 190 DEGREES THE PCM AND COOLANT SENSOR WILL TURN ON COOLANT FANS, IF VECHICLE OVERHEATING COOLANT FANS NOT WORKING EITHER YOU HAVE FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CHECK COOLANT FANS FUSE AND RELAYS. YOU CAN CODE SCAN CAR TO SEE IF YOU HAVE FAULTY PCM, FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OR FAULTY COOLANT FAN RELAY.IF COOLANT FAN AND ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OKAY,YOU HAVE CORRECT COOLANT LEVEL IN COOLANT SYSTEM, THERMOSTAT AND RADIATOR PRESSURE CAP BEEN REPLACED, YOU COULD HAVE BLOWN HEAD GASKET CHECK ENGINE OIL LOOKS LIKE MILK SHAKE HEAD GASKET BLOWED ALSO WHEN HEAD GASKET BLOWED YOU CAN DRIVE CAR SHORT DISTANCE START OVERHEATING AND YOU LOOSE ENGINE POWER SUSPECT BLOWED HEAD GASKET.

It has thick white liquid along with oil on end of dip stick every time i check oil.I put a liquid block sealer in motor, I went step by step of directions.Even changed oil and oil filter 3 times in a 2...

The head gasket is bad and needs to be changed. Block sealer won't work on bad gaskets that are beyond it's ability. The trans is probably leaking at the front seal for the second problem. You would have milky fluid leaking there if it were the rear main.

I CHANGED THE THEMOSTAT..... CAR IS STILL OVERHEATING....WHAT DO I CHECK NEXT

First, do you have enough collant? underneith the water pump there is a weep hole, feel to see if there is and anti-freeze dripping from this, if so the water pump is failing. Are you getting any heat? the heater core or the bypass valve could be no good. Also check the oil, look to see if it looks kinda like chocolate milk if it is , the anti-freeze is mixing with the oil and the headgasket is no good

My car is leaking antifreeze and overheating

MOST OF THE TIME WHEN CAR IS LEAKING ANTIFREEZE.CHECK ALL RADIATOR HOSES AND AROUND THE RADIATOR ON THE SIDES AND FRONT AREA WHERE COOLANT FAN IS.BUT BE CAREFUL DONT PUT HAND NO WHERE AROUND COOLING FAN.BECAUSE IT COULD COME ON WHILE YOUR HAND IS NEAR YOU CAN GET INJURED.ALSO CHECK AROUND WATER PUMP GASKET AND WEEP HOLE FOR LEAKING.IF YOU FIND NO LEAKS THEN YOUR HEAD GASKET LEAKING.CHECK ENGINE OIL IF OIL LOOK LIKE MILK SHAKE YOU HAVE HEAD GASKET LEAK.

I have a BMW 2000 316 Ci that has been using a lot of water. My mechanic had it at the weekend and replaced a hose near the head gasket but it still has the same problem, it however is not overheating

have coolant system pressure test.what they do is pressurize your coolant.about 14 psi look in radiator for bubbles if so you have head gasket leak. or they drain oil out leave drain plug out to see if coolant come out crank case.that also means leaking head gasket or intake gasket.they will look for leaks around radiator +all hoses.look at water pump gasket weep hole.for leaks also check engine core plugs for leaks.they will make sure you have 50% coolant and 50% water .if you have too much water.it will evaporate away.
