Is this a DIY question, do say.?
still 102? you didnt say. post all DTCs
live, stored and pending.
use a real scan tool , in usa?)

Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit

Read more at: http://www.obd-codes.com/p0102

this is the AIr meter (measure air mass not volume)
it reads low, but can be caused by.
1: air leaks (aka vacuum leaks) in the whole induction system.
from air meter , to the intake valves. the whole path !!!
2: too low idle speed, 800 is par. if lower fix that now.

the test is simple. using a voltmeter to see if the air meter is really bad. boy scout simple.
ask for the tests.
or login to
allldata.com
and read 102 then when there, go to MAF page and read that page
it shows the simple tests. (the saturn FSM does too)

im not sure the defunct Saturn co. uses PCM. if it does, its hopeless.(DIY)
most MAFS are analog and any cheap meter works, any.
PCM is modulated, (a ford trick. to avoid.)

I check my MAFs. from keyon,, then start
then racing in idle to 3000 RPM
and if a A/T , i do a A/T tranny stall RPM test. (see tranny tests)
as the same time, this act puts huge load on the engine.
(a free dyno) for 5 seconds max, (overheats tranny the trannysections say that, and is true. read it.
then see output of MAF hit near 4v. this is a good maf.
can elaborate and show pages doing all this and more.
just ask, if all that is too hard,
find an ASE mech, he knows how to do this.

keep in mind no ECu on earth knows what is wrong,
it only can report bad tests. NEVER WHY!
Only the mech finds the truth. by adding more tests.

Higher octane gas 93 with some good octane boost in the black can at autozone cost about 7 dollars or a bottle of 104 octane boost. Change the fuel filter. Probably only one coil pack is bad. The OBDII reader should tell you which one was a misfire.

SOURCE: CODE PO102 after Mass Air Flow Sensor replaced

Most faultcodes don't disappear automaticly, the have to be 'reset' manually after repairing. It sounds like the code didn't get erased after replacing the MAF. You could try to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes (disconnect and reconnect the negative (-) pole), which should erase the code.

Whenever the engine light still comes back on after that, there probably still is some (other) problem ...

Hi, Since you have both codes Fuel system lean and MAF low I would bet money on that you have an intake air leak after the throttle. Check all hoses connected to the intake manifold, gaskets, injectors are put in place etc.

Have a 2001 pontiac aztec i change fuel pump but still giving problems put in the computer give me p0102 and p1189 replaced them still the same whats next

P0102 - The mass air flow (MAF) sensor is an air flow meter that measures the amount of air entering the engine. The powertrain control module (PCM) uses the MAF sensor signal in order to provide the correct fuel delivery for a wide range of engine speeds and loads. A small quantity of air entering the engine indicates deceleration or idle. A large quantity of air entering the engine indicates an acceleration or high load situation. The MAF sensor has an ignition 1 voltage circuit, a ground circuit, and a signal circuit. The PCM applies a voltage to the sensor on the signal circuit. The sensor uses the voltage in order to produce a frequency based on inlet air flow through the sensor bore. The frequency will vary within a range of around 2,000 Hertz at idle to about 10,000 Hertz at maximum engine load. DTC P0102 will set if the PCM detects a frequency signal lower than the possible range of a normally operating MAF sensor.
Sounds like you need a mass air flow sensor , but take it to a ASE certified repair shop an have it check , instead of just replacing it.
DTC P1189
The engine oil pressure switch is a normally closed switch that opens with the proper oil pressure. With the ignition switch turned ON and the engine not running, the PCM should detect a low signal voltage input. With the engine running, the pressure switch opens, and the PCM should detect a high signal voltage input. The PCM tests the state of the engine oil pressure circuit with the ignition switch turned ON, and the engine turned OFF. If the PCM detects a high voltage input on the engine oil pressure signal circuit, DTC P1189 will set.

I recently had problems with my 2005 Mazda MPV stalling. I came to this great site and changed the IAC and it stopped stalling. But 2 days later my check engine light came on. The codes are P2197 P2195...

The descriptions for your codes are:
P2197 - H02S (RF) signal stuck lean
P2195 - H02S (RF) signal stuck lean
P2187 - Fuel System too lean at idle
P0102 - MAF circuit low input

Essentially what's happening is that your MPV is running too lean when at idle. Too much air and not enough fuel. As you speed up - it forces more air into the system which alleviates the problem.

Examine your mass airflow sensor. It should be completely clean - no fuzzies on it at all. If so - purchase some mass airflow sensor cleaner to clean the sensor. ONLY USE THE PROPER CLEANER TO AVOID DAMAGING THE SENSOR. Disconnect the battery to reset the system and turn off check engine light.

Otherwise you will need a scan tool to look at the voltages being supplied to/from the PCM for each of the Heated Oxygen Sensors and the Mass Airflow Sensor to determine which part is creating the problem.

Diagnostic codes

P0102 OBD-II Trouble Code - Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input

What does that mean?
Basically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. A more technical description would be that the MAF circuit had lower than expected voltage (air flow). Other MAF sensor circuit DTC trouble codes are P0100, P0101, P0103, and P0104.

Symptoms
You will likely not notice any serious drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a general decrease in power or sluggishness.

Causes
A code P0102 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad
* The MAF may be dirty or otherwise contaminated (Note: if you use a reusable oiled air filter, be careful not to apply too much oil or that can contaminate the MAF).
* The MAF sensor may be faulty
* The vehicle computer may be faulty (very rare)

Possible Solutions
The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:
* Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires.
* Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor.
* Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor.
* Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information)
* Replace the MAF sensor.

P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input

What does that mean?
The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine. The PCM supplies a 5 volt reference voltage to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. The IAT is a thermistor that varies resistance based on temperature. As the temperature increases, resistance decreases. Low temperature results in a high signal voltage. When the PCM sees a signal voltage higher than 5 volts, it sets this P0113 check engine light code.

Potential Symptoms
There will likely be no symptoms other than illumination of the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL - Check Engine Light / Service Engine Soon).

Causes
A code P0113 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* Internally failed IAT sensor
* Faulty connection at IAT sensor
* Open in IAT ground circuit or signal circuit
* Short to voltage in IAT signal circuit or reference circuit
* IAT harness and/or wiring routed too close to high-voltage wiring (e.g. alternator, spark plug cables, etc.)
* Faulty PCM (less likely but not impossible)

Possible Solutions
First, if you have access to a scan tool, is there an IAT reading? If the IAT reading is logical then the problem is likely intermittent. If the reading is less than -30 degrees, unplug the connector. Install a jumper wire between the harness connector signal and ground circuits. The IAT temperature reading on the scan tool should be maxed out at the high end. For example it should be 280 degrees Farenheit or higher. If it is, the wiring is okay, and it may have been the connection. If it isn't install the jumper wire between the IAT signal circuit and the chassis ground. If now the IAT reading on the scan tool is maxed out then check for an open in the IAT ground circuit. If you get no reading at all on the scan tool, it's likely that the sensor signal is open or the 5 volt reference is missing. Check using a DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) for a 5 volt reference. If it's there, then unplug the connector at the PCM and check for continuity on the IAT signal circuit between the PCM connector and the IAT connector.

I really hope help with this (remember rated this).
