Hi,

I have not come accross a P2225 error code on a Toyota (Sienna). Best I can gather is this error indicates "NOx Sensor Heater Sense Circuit Intermittent (Bank 2)". on an OBDII Code Reader.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

7 out of 10 times that means that one of the cat's have gone bad. Most of the time it happens when your mileage is around 100,000 miles. The only thing is to do is to change the bad cat.

SOURCE: check engine lite,code p0430 for a 2005 toyota

Hello. Your P-0420-code is most likely due to a bad Air-Fuel sensor; Bank one, Sensor one. This sensor is on the exhaust manifold, closest to the firewall.

We would recommend replacing this sensor.

Note: Please use a genuine Toyota sensor; the aftermarket sensors do not deliver the correct voltage to the computer. If you purchase an aftermarket sensor, your problem will not be corrected; we see this quite often in our service department.

We hope that this helps you out.-

As the code description implies the P0430 code means that the vehicle's control module has detected that the three-way catalytic converter is not working properly (is not as efficient as the factory is expecting). Replacing the oxygen (O2) sensors may sometimes fix the code, but in most cases the catalytic convert needs to be replaced to fix the problem. If the P0430 code is combined with other codes, try fixing the other codes first.

Code P0430

P0430 is saying that bank 2 catalytic converter has lost it's efficiency. if there are no exhaust leaks between the front and rear oxygen sensors and there are no programing updates for this code for your vehicle then you need a catalytic converter on bank 2. make sure to call your dealer to check for programing updates and to see if your converter is out of the federal emissions warranty which extends beyond your normal warranty.
