2000 Ford mustang. engine skipping and check engine light flashing. I have checked plugs and wires and they seem fine.

It sounds like you have a misfire. Does it miss more under a load or does it miss primarily,at idle. If under load, it is likely ignition related. Spray water on the wires and coils with the engine running. If they are carbon tracking it will be very obvious as the engine will miss worse.

Engine wont rev above 2000rpm

If you have a hih miles truck,it is very possoble you have aclogged cat.Have a muffler shop test pressure in front and behind by drilling small holes, checkin w/gauge,then welding back. This should be free if you replace the cat.

Engine misfire at idle

130k on the I6 engine isn't even broken in yet! We regularily get 300k on them. Couple of things come to mind, the "miss" you're feeling in gear is probably motor mounts, have these checked along with tranny mounts. I've seen them so bad it feels like it's running on 4-5 cylinders. 4-5mpg???? never seen that on these engines, any check engine lights? I'd take this to a shop and get it hooked up to a Tech 2 to nail the problem down. You have a lot of things going on that needs a pro's attention. Hate to see you throw parts at it not knowing exactly what's causing what problem.

The Focus seems to be idling fast & ocassionally misses badly along with red fault indicator and engine system fault (accelerator not very responsive). I had an analyzer placed on the engine while...

have you checked the MAP sensor located on the firewall? I dealt with an '03 Focus the when the MAP sensor had two broken vacuum lines the car would run fine when started cold but once it was up to full operating temp if you cut the car off and restarted it it would not idle at all and set off the check engine light..went to the local junkyard and got one and installed and all the problems disappeared

Nissan truck idles fine, does not acelerate well, and misses

Try to disconnect MAF sensor(mass air flow sensor) or MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) , I don't know which one you have , (suppose to have either one) , when engine running and see if it becomes any better , if it did , then it's your problem.
Just remember one thing , if your check engine light is off now , it will be on after you disconnect any above mentioned components.
Easy to reset , disconnect battery for 30 sec.

2000 Chevy s10 2.2L very rough idle at low rpm

run a fuel pressure test, if that checks out fine it may be a faulty coil pack or ignition control module

Engine miss above 2000 rpm

sounds like a valve problem. check compression running and non-running. valve sealing at higher rpm is usually a valve spring problem is if runs ok at idle.
