DOOR TO CARGO AREA NOT OPENING-REAR WINDSHIELD WIPER NOT WORKING

I was told it is due to an electrical problem or a fuse. Is it so? If I have to get that serviced, any ideas on how much it could cost? Is there something that can be done at home, I mean, replace fuse or something? Has someone had a similar problem? Any light you can shed on this? The door doesn't open with remote control, neither with the key. I can hear the lock's noise when I turn the key in, but the door is still stuck. It doesn't open. Any ideas?
Thank you all! :)

Sounds like your latch is jammed. i would check that if you can open it to look at it. mine did that and i had to crawl in the truck of a civic and kick it open while a friend keld the key to pop it open.

When I turn the windshield wipers off in mid cycle-they don't go all the way down. they stop half way down the windshield. do you think the motor is bad? Also, rear windshield wiper does not work at...

yes the wiper motor is probably at fault due to the self parking mechanism is internally in the motor.
well the rear one check fuses and then check for power at motor, if there is power at motor possibly motor again, if there is no power at motor when operating check wiring in flexible joint between body of car and back door/tailgate.

On a 2003 Ford E250 Econoline van with electric door locks...is it possible to disconnect the rear and side cargo doors from being electrically controlled so that only a key can open them? How would I do...

Hi! Yes its possible if manual you want it to be. Try this, If the cargo doors have separate fuse from the fuse box then just remove the fuse and it would work manually. If you wont find the door fuse then you should work on the door manually. Open the cargo door trimming and you will find a motor inside the door. The motor has a connector that leads to the lock. Remove the connector to cut the power supply to the motor and you'll be on manual now. Hope this helps and have a good one!

Windshield wipers not working on 71 Corvette

Check for power at the wiper motor. The door is vacuum operated the wiper motor is electric. If there is power present the motor is bad, if not check the fuse, and then check the wiper switch. My guess is that the wiper motor is bad.

Check to be sure there is not a seperate fuse for the wiper. Check power and ground at the motor. if you have power and ground replace the motor. if you don't, check for a break in the wires where the harness bends at the tailgate. take the interior door trim apart to unlock and open then inspect the inside of the door and all components. i can't really help with seeing it. the econolines have issues with the lock cylinders.

Tailgate door and window won't open

Check in your user's manual for your fuse location on the rear windshield wiper. These grand cherokee's have electronic actuators in every door. Inside these actuators they have very little motors and move everything via plastic. Very bad design flaw, as most of these actuators are 300-400 dollars to replace. You can find ones in salvage yards for 50 though. On your rear hatch, the door and the window are run by this actuator.
