I have Opel Astra 1996 F.Engine code C14NZ.

Vauxhall/Opel range usually had a single pin coolant temp sensor in the top of the intake manifold and removing it while filling the cooling system allowed the majority of the air to escape, but it had to be refitted quickly as soon as coolant appears.

It does have a radiator cap, except it is to be found on the degassing tank (clear plastic bottle with either yellow or black screw cap) and not directly on the radiator.

Once the system is filled and the majority of the air expelled through the temp sensor hole it should be run until hot with the pressure cap fitted and bleeding will be complete shortly after the thermostat opens - except for the heater.

Mostly the above is sufficient but sometimes just enough air will remain trapped in the heater to cause gurgling noises. What is needed is a vacuum cooling system filler that sucks out all the air from the cooling system and then atmospheric pressure forces the coolant into the system.

Opel Astra 1.6 SXi Estate reverse gear issue

some of the times it can be the gear link so what u need to do is to get under the car and check for gear leaver on gearbox and make the screw loose while putting the neutral gear and after making it loose you set the gear straight on the centre and need someone to hold the gear at the centre and tight the screw or bolt while holding the gear on neutral

Opel astra club model.bt it smoke with engine operation what is problem?

gray smoke is water ( check water level )
black smoke is oil (check oil level)
also check if you are parked on an incline, if back of car is up un air then water can sit in the exhaust over night. and it can take upto 2hrs of driving to get it out. this will also give you gray smoke.

Opel Astra Estate no spark so won't start

Hello
The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM
