SOURCE: 1993 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 not firing on 2 cylinders

The reason I'm asking this is because a dual coil fires BOTH plugs at the same time. If one plug doesn't fire right, the other won't either, even to a point that neither does. Kepp the coils where they are and swap the plugs and wires and see if you have a change. Let me know

you can test it but removing wires on the coil. they should have same strength as 1 and 4. if they are weaker then you have a bad coil. if nothing happens your have a bad module.
if you want put the 1,4 coil on the suspected bad tabs on the module and see if spark is same strength.that should do it. you pretty much did the right thing is swaping with what testing equipment you have to work with.
its most likely a bad module though. very common. when you test something always have someone explain how its tested and how it works.

Check the firing order. Might have wires crossed.

2005 Cavalier misfiring on 2 cylinders, dumping fuel

Spark plugs get there voltage from the ignition coil packs, more then likely you have a bad coil pack or coil pack boot, pull one coil pack or spark plug wire or boot at a time, if you see a drop in rpm, that one is good, if no drop bad coil pack.

My 98 cavalier has misfires on cylinders 1 2 and 3 what could be the problem the plugs and wires are new

You either have bad coils or the ignition module is bad.The other thing would be dirty injectors.Depending on motor size. You can swap the coils and see if the misfire changes to different cylinders. If not the problem is not the coils.Let me know if you have any more questions.Hope this helps.Good luck.
