Does anybody know what rig mats is? I have been trying to look to see what it is but I don't understand.

go to the book that came with the car.look up in index KEY FOB,RESTART,REPROGRAMMING, AS I HAD TOO WITH MY 2002 EXPLODER/FORD. lol.

Check exhaust pipes and muffler.

does yuor truck has a hitch harness? check your towing lights controler sometimes behind L tail ligth, just follow your harness, back track power, don't know what you have done but hope this helps.

don't know what the mats would have to do with this , unless they blocked the travel of the gas pedal,, but anyway ,, check the rotor and the distributor cap for worn or bad spots,, clean them off then try again, your plugs could be worn, and need replacement,, and also , if you have fuel injection,, clean the throttle body, remove the air cleaner tube from the motor, and spray some carb cleaner into the opening, , open the flapper plate and clean that too, wipe off any excess with a clean rag, those are basic steps to check when having the problem your having, if none of this helps ,, then replace the idle control sensor

if it is slippery and stinky, your heater core is leaking. otherwise you have a leak around your windshield and rainwater is coming in and not drying out as it is under the mat. very hard to track down, get some clear aquarium sealer and get to work.

Don't know your rig but most coolant sensors are near the inlet to the radiator and that is located at the bottom tank. They don't measure the engine temperature but do sit in the coolant stream as described.

clean the throttle body and replace the mass air flow sensor a know good one and see if that fixes it if it does you found your problem. normally the mass air flow sensor would cause the rig to run crappy atany speed.

You have a bad transmission control module (TCM). It is under the passenger side front floor mat. You can get rebuilt units off Ebay, whatever you do, don't get a used one! They are all bad. If you know anybody that does electronic repairs, you can have them replace the big 220 uf capacitor on the PC board in the TCM. It's a two dollar part and a ten minute job but you have to know what you're doing. This will fix your problem I promise. Don't let anyone sell you a transmission!

Personally, I would start looking at the exhaust system shields and hangers. Make sure they are secure and not too close to the exhaust components. Minimum clearance for the shields is 20mm ( roughly 3/4"). You might be able to get away with a little less, but move or bend to get additional clearance.
Also make sure the spare tire rigging is secure, always a culprit.
