Mercedes problems

You might need to check the switch on the steering column first.
The easiest way would be to disconnect electrical connector from cruise control unit under the hood and have someone to assist you by turning it on and off while you are holding a multimeter (ohmmeter) to the appropriate pair of pins in your connector.
For this you will need an electrical diagram.

I want to turn off my hood light

Is it not goping off when you close the hood? There isn't a switch that you can just turn off though they do have a switch. You may be disconnect the plug to it or close the hood and the light should go off.

Where is the hood pin switch (hood light switch) for a 1999 Ford Expedition?

It's not really a pin type switch. It is turned on by how the leval of the hood is. As the hood opens there is like an internal switch in the light itself that moves as the hood is raised and turns the light on or off. I hope I was able to explain it to where you understood. I hope this helped and good luck.

2007 santa fe..alarm keeps going off for no reason.

It is most likely it is the hood switch. A vibration in the earth would vibrate the vehicle just a bit to make the hood pin not make enough contact. The pin itself would make a indentation on the rubber bump on the hood. This makes the pin not press down enough to make contact and thus made it go off.

One other possibility besides the hood pin problem is when the siren assemblygoes bad. This problem surfaces when driving down the road or just sitting in front of your house. It's an internal short in the siren assembly.

Alarm went off while sitting in car, won't reset with fob. Also it now won't start now. After the alarm stops, it stars up again after awhile. Had to unhook the battery. This started after the air pump...

There is an alarm arm/disarm switch in the key cylinder for the trunk and both doors. Just put the key in and turn it to UNLOCK and the alarm should disarm. As far as the reason for it going off...Check the pin switch for the hood. This switch is located along the right front fender (hood open) and is on a very thin metal bracket that is easy to bend when working under the car. Usually the bracket gets bent just far enough that it still allows the alarm to arm, but as it gets cold in the night, the bracket deforms a SLIGHT bit more and tells the alarm that the hood has been opened. Just grasp the switch and bracket and slowly bend it up to level again and the alarm should be OK. You may have to disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 15 minutes or more and then hook it back up and reprogram the key fobs.
