It could be a fuse,or the reverse light switch has gone bad. its on the transmission on the side. should be a 2 wire connector. you can test it by unpluging it and put a meter on ohms between the two pins leading to the switch. it should read infinite when in any gear other than reverse and read 0 when in reverse

Check the switch on the gear box/auto box. they are common to fail.

SOURCE: Reverse lights not working on 1993 Ford Ranger

Not sure what transmssion you have but basically it goes from fuse on P/O wire to either the MLP switch on automatic or just a backup lamp switch on manual and leaves the switch on BK/PK wire to the bulbs. Should be easy to trace with a 12v test light.

SOURCE: 1992 acura integra tail light fuse keeps blowing

it sounds like the wiring is all wrong as if its a bad earth on the car after he wired the fog lights maybe you should check and see if there is any wires hanging down underneath the bonnet that have been stripped back or see if there is and loose wires on the back of your lights or fuse board if you dont find any problems there take out the radio in the car i find that most problems to do with bad wiring or electrical problems in cars is to do with bad wiring on a radio i.e not having been installed proberly. hopes this helps

SOURCE: 2004 Landrover Freelander stop/reverse light fuse keeps blowing

I had a persistent problem of hill light warning and TCS warning lights coming on for no apparent reason. There is a wire connection between the stop light switch and the control unit to let the system know when brakes are being applied. Changing the stop light switch cured it. The replaced switch was certainly sticking and the new one was of a different design. Replaced it myself as switch comes with a wiring loom. Need to get on your back under the steering wheel! Not very expensive. My car 2001 TD4

SOURCE: reverse lights not working

Not 100% sure on that particular vehicle but many have safety neutral & back-up switch as one on transmission. Maybe dealer or part store can look up part & tell you if one switch in your case does both.

1992 honda integra horn fuse blows after applying brakes

Honda makes the Integra but it uses the Acura name in the US.
According to the wiring diagram the brake lights and horn are on the same circuit. So I would check the bulbs and sockets for a short.
The brake light switch also involves the cruise control system.

My 1995 acura integra blows my taillght/dash cluster light fuse everytime i replace them why is this?

sound like a direct ground, each wire system has it's own color head light, tail lights, turn signal, back up, reverse, best to buy repair Manual for your car and find out what your cars lighting system color are find out what light is blowing your fuse the check those wires for a worn spot or check if a bulb is making contact with metal. if you recently installed big stereo system then problem started see if you nicked wire harness.
best wiring diagram I have found is in a Chilton's manual

Hello deezeesmeyo
Check fuse# 42 a 20amp fuse in the fuse block located under the hood on the right side of the engine compartment. If the fuse is ok, check the stoplight switch located under the left side of the
dash on the brake peddle bracket. Hope this is helpful.

I have a 1994 Acura Integra that keeps draining the battery. Need help to find the source of the problem.

Put an ammeter or a small light bulb in place of the main fuse. Then, one by one pull out and replace the other fuses looking for any change in the meter or bulb. Then home in on the circuit that makes a change.

All three brake lights are out on my 94 Acura integra.

Check the owner's manual. There are fuses under the hood as well as by the driver's side floor, where the hood release is. If the cover is gone go get one at the junk yard. Comes in handy, even a fuse puller and spares in there

I need to replace a burned out headlight bulb in my 1993 Integra.

Depending on what you drive you may not need to remove the head light. Lift the hood and look ath the lights you should be able to twist and pull out the connector with the light in it and then swap them. If you are not sure go to a shop with you light in had and they will be willing to replace it for about $10.00 or so. you may e-mail me if you have further problems at bharris9@gmail.com
