Problem with Crysler voyager alarm system, it comes on when it should be off

I have a Crysler Voyager 2001 (Mark 2).The alarm system has a habbit of "coming on" when it should clearly be off, eg sometimes when i'm driving it will just come on or when i turn the engine's off and i try to re start, the dashboard flashes with "Alarm On" and then i am unable to start the car for a period of time until it feels like it. What is causing this problem and what should i do. Can it be repaired i don't wan't tp have to replase the whole alarm system via Crysler because of the cost. Help please

You most likely need a new alarm module.

I have 2000 Chrysler Voyager 3.0 automatic what size transmission do I have

I would ask a local private trans repair shop, where their
wholesalers is & go there.
They sell to the public & only deal in trans parts.

There are dozens of professional trans parts venders ,that
sell over the phone or internet.

Deal with the parts pros, then you get it right.

Dash board of my 2000 crysler voyager keep flashing, and the out side lights do de same thing.

the hazard switch is the problem or it is cause by passive alarm, remove the hazard switch or hazard fuse and observe the function of the lights, if lights stop flashing, change the switch, if continous flashing check the keyless entry reciever or the body control module

Ive checked service book and read the timing belt and idler pulleys need replacing at 100 000km (Crysler Grand Voyager 2.8CRD Lx)Is that correct? and what are the costs in SA?

typically thats about right give or take a few thousand to replace the belt and the pulley will cost you around 12-1,500 give or take a few hundred. this depends on the labor rate of the shop that does the work. my shop is 85 dollars an hour.

04 crysler voyager lx automatic door not working

Could be either , you may have a fuse blown(check first) ,but as it was only partialy opening before suggests that it will probably be a motor issue .If you have 12v at the door motor when pushing the switch then you need to replace/repair the motor.Come back to me if you require further assistance.

Please leave fair comment if you feel I have helped you.

Thank you
