SOURCE: Buick park avenue engine start problem

Try replacing the coolant control temp sensor, the one to the computer (usually it will have two wires), not the sensor to the temp light or gauge (usually has only one wire).

Over heating

Cold engine - - check that coolant level is correct - Ignition on but engine not running - set heter temp settings to max - set fan manual to one of the lower speeds - start engine and within 30 seconds rev it 3-4 times up to 3000rpm - shut off engine before end of 30 seconds (before it starts to heat) - reset climate to normal settings - recheck coolant and top up if necessary. Hot engine. - take car for a run to get up to operating temp - using caution - slowly open the bleed valve (steam and bubbles may come out) - close as soon as you see liquid coolant without excessive bubbles. - do not overtighten this as they are plastic threads. Just snug till it seals fully. - after engine cools check the coolant level again and top up if necessary. Check coolant level every few days for a few weeks and top up again if required - repeat the Hot engine bleed process again. If coolant keeps droping after 2-3 top ups have the system pressure tested. If you are still getting over temps have it analysed by a dealer. The temp is controlled by the engine computer so there may be another fault.

1992 yamaha waverunner 111 wra650q Runs great until you shut it off or it shuts off? Ok as long as you restart in a few seconds it will fire instantly , if you wait 5 minutes or longer it will turn over...

Not real familiar with waverunners (this is a car and truck section after all), but remember that when you have been riding and stop engine it gets much hotter. Could possibly be coil "Heat Soak", or even a fuel system vapor lock issue caused by a pinhole leak in a line or a bad gas cap. Not very confident in this, but the best I got. Try posting in the waverunner section.

Car wont run below half a tank

If it has a timing belt, that is your problem

The exhaust converter & all the oxygen
sensors will have to be replaced as they
fired from the heat of a timing or misfire

Check fuel pressure also after you resolve

My 1993 nissan sentra 1.6 wont run and check engine light wont turn on,bulb is ok

Could be any of several things. If the crank sensor is marginal and not sending pulses, the fuel pump is shut off. This is for safety. The pump is energized for a few seconds as key is turned in preparation for starting then engine must rotate normally to keep the pump on. If it stops, in a few seconds the fuel is cut off.

My 2005 equinox cooling fans come on for a few seconds &shut off making engine over heat &OVERHEATING What is the problem?

Should be a relay somewhere in the engine compartment - may be failing. You may be able to switch with another relay to diagnose.
Check your owners manual under fuses and relays.

My 1989 f350 duelly starts in am and dies quickly bought coil and ecm cap rotor and backfires and shakes and dies any ideas.i was thinking distributor or fuel pump please help

If you spray starting fluid in the air intake, does it stay running? I would go to harber freight and get a cheap fuel pressure tester and hook it into the fuel line. It hsould be about 40 psi, and hold for about 30 minutes after shut down without bleeding down too much, like 5 psi.

Try this too. Turn key to ON, wait 5 seconds for the pump to shut off. Then turn key off and listen for the realy to "Cclick" under the dash (about 10 seconds). Repeat this. Then start engine. This primes the lines & injectors if you are getting bleed down due to a bad check valve in the fuel pump.
report resuts. pleasre rate assistance.
