Question about Dodge Magnum
2006 dodge magnum I was in an accident rear ended somebody car stalled now the speed sensor is out dealer said typically does not happen because of an accident yet the car ran fine prior to this. now it is a battle with insurance company can this be true!!! help
Speed sensor is fitted to the abs system. if the abs system is fine with no faults coming up then it is down to the dash. now the dash is the most sensitive part, if you hit the dash to hard it can make this happen. also can make the connection to the dash and wiring come apart. braking the circuit. taking the dash out and cleaning the pins that connect the dash to the wiring can sort this out. failing this the speedo its self may be damaged and need replacing. you can hit the dash in an accident and you would not even know you have hit it. your brain does not register the movment.

I have a 2005 Magnum and was also having this problem. Stalled out a few times and continued to idle rough and feel like it was going to die when I would slow down. At times it would feel like I would get a hesitation and then a surge. Engine light would go on for a day or so, then go out for a few days. First time I took it in, the dealership told me that it was a broken seal (I don't know where), but they replaced it and it continued to happen. The second time I took it to a mom & pop shop, and they told me that it was the oxygen sensor/altimeter, replaced it (only a $35 part), and I haven't had a problem since. That was 6 months ago. Hope this helps...

According to the replacement parts guide, they are struts and I checked for all wheel drive and 2 wheel drive and all are showing struts.

Observe the car's engine as it runs for 10 minutes to ensure that the electric fan for the radiator is coming on, if not either the fan relay, fan's coolant temp. sensor, or the fan itself is bad, try the relay first it is the least expensive, if this is the type of vehicle that has no electric fan replace the clutch fan.

it'll either be your ignition system (spark plugs, distributor cap, etc) or more likely your fuel system (most likely your fuel pump or your fuel filter)

SOURCE: I am feeling a rumbling,
Probably just a rear wheel bearing

Testimonial: "Thanks. I changed my tires recently from Michelins to Vogues and that's when the trouble began. I thought the new tires were not balanced properly. "
