Sounds like bad spark, check it from the start, check battery, starter, and all their connections. Then look at coil pack. And alderator. You may have bad plugs or bad wires.

the spark plugs wires are 4 (four) the engine works in sequence of 1342 on the distributor cap mostly writes 1 ( one ) this means the first piston-the first spark -lead. if it is there then go clockwise and put the rest following the firing order I wrote above.

No compression won't start

Pull spark plugs and shine a light in the hole. Find which piston has a hole in it.
You can also pull the oil pan and look from the bottom.

Also, Check your timing belt.

Back brake caliper's piston won't compress for me to put on new pads

if your turning the piston the right way which you probably are so it turns in not out and it won`t go back then it sounds like caliper needs to be replaced as the piston is siezed in its postion.

I have a Chevy 2500 pick up truck. My son thought he'd replace the spark plugs. He removed the distributor cap, didn't understand it and now the truck won't start. He did not replace any spark...

firing order for 5.7 v8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 mostly all of the chevy v8s are the same firing order. the rotor button in distributer turns clockwise, the cylinder numbers are 1-3-5-7 on drivers side, 2-4-6-8 is on passengers side. To get started get your distrutor cap[new one] look on the top you will see a #1that's where you begin you must know if if rotates clockwise or counter clockwise start in that direction then follow the firing order and cylinder line up. good-day!! if cap is not marked, just pull out #1 plug, put a straw or similar in plug hole on top of piston. turn engine over by crank in front of vehicle with a wrench, when the piston comes to the very top just before it starts going down. this is tdc. and rotor button should be pointing to #1 wire on dist, cap. follow from there. good-day !!

Car won't start, with starter diconnected the flywheel will only go forward, I cannot get it to go backward, what is the problem?

could be a bolt from flywheel has back out & jamming. engine might be hydrolocked
can try removing spark plugs to see if that helps

The rear brake piston won,t go in with a clamp

normally, you need to remove a small portion of brake fluid from the master cylinder before doing this procedure, then after you remove the brake caliper, and brake assembly, then take your c clamp, and a small piece of a 1/1 wood and lay the 1/1 across the piston area, and put the 1 end of the c clamp onto the piece of wood, and start turning the c clamp handle , the piston should go back into the caliper, if not, then it sounds like the piston has froze. when this happens, there are times a person has to replace the caliper, if piston can not be pushed inward.

2001 Chevy Malibu, 89,000 miles, 3.1 engine, won't start

Had there been a distributor like the earlier models it would be the one at fault. However now microchips control that aspect, the problem being synchronizing with the cam shaft rotation, the injector valves being controlled electronically are not opening & closing as per the compression in the cylinders leading to un-synchronized firing. Thus preventing the engine to start & hold a rhythm. This can happen overnight if the insulation has given way due to condensation, contact, etc. It's basically an electrical problem & I am afraid that the wiring will have to be checked thoroughly again meaning repeat of many of the tests which were carried out plus a replacement of the wiring near & around the induction coil & the chip involved. Diagram for 91 jeep cherokee plug wires

For a 4 the firing order is 1234 front to back and the distributor fires clockwise. Find one and run wires from there.

For a 6 its 123456 front to back and is also clockwise.
