Question about 1997 Mitsubishi Galant
Hi, I have a 1997 Galant 24V VR6 and I am planning to replace the timing belts. I am planning to do it on my own but I don't know were to locate the timing marks. I was wondering if someone could help me or better if you can send me a diagram or picture of the timing marks.
Thanks, more power to Fixya.com....
The timing marks are inside the belt cover. You have to bring the #1 piston all the way to the top of it's travel, this is called Top Dead Center or TDC. All other timing critical pulleys are marked, if you can't see them, clean them.
