SOURCE: water from ac leaking inside on floor, drain tube open

Pull the fan and blower out of the enclosure and make sure the drain is really open, i will bet it isn't and has leaves blocking it on the inside.

Ac vent selector wont swich

not sure why you want to bypass it , this gismo moves damper under dash to allow wether you get cold or hot air out of vents depending on what you select on dash control (hi /low vents) if theres a problem with it most times it comes from ac condensate collection pan drain clogging up and water spills over into duct work rusting the damper shafts making it impossible for damper movers to move them , producing a fault or hot or freezing cold air all the time , sorry no easy fix for this but removing underdash ductwork and cleaning / replacing them lots of hours upside down with your feet on seats and head under dash , just kidding ...... most times we just take front seats out that makes plenty of room

Air conditioner causing water inside front and rear of vehicle

on your airconditioning unit on the fire wall under the have a drain hose to let water out ..if that is plugged it will run inside the vehicle...but what causes this usually is low freon...134A..its the gas inside the lines....when ac is running..if its low it will freeze up in the AC condensors in the dash...turn white which is frost..if it gets frosty then it will melt thus causing water which in turn runs into the inside of the vehicle..that is if the drain tube hose is pluged...suggestions >> get under car and look for a tube..rubber...insert a wire or something up there to see if dirt comes this without car running...someplace on right side glove compartment area under car has to be a goes up and down vertically probably two feet long but you will only see the tip of the hose,,maybe a couple inches,,,only way to find it is get under and behind right front wheel and look upward .find it and make sure it isn't kinked or anything as such,,plugged...then try again...the cause is low freon 134A...stop and think,,,on a hot day when AC is running,,,you drive a bit and then come back out and there is water behind the right front wheel ,,,if that is have an open tube...but if water still inside during the puddling outside....then a loose or cracked housing which contains the unit...shouldn't be too hard to fix

Car running hot after idling for 20 min w ac on full blast

your Volvo will run hot after idling for any length of time with the AC on,, there is no air flow through the cooling coils to prevent this from occurring, you need air flow to cool the fluid in your radiator as well as the ac coils in your vehicle,

There is moisture coming out of the AC vents on my daughters 2006 s40, usually during very hot weather and not until the car has been driven for several miles

The drain on the evaporator is stopped up,look for it directly bellow the ac lines ,where they go into the car,under the hood,it will be on the bottom of the blower box,use air pressure to blow into the drain to clear it out.

Water drip inside car when its rains on a crown victoria ford ,on the floor board . had my ac fix two years ago cause hot air was blowing in cause the ac air was not coming in to good . something about...

Most likely the windshield is starting to leak -
Second choice is - there is a drain hose - it may be clocked up - please pull up the floor man - and look for a rubber hose that goes down through the floor board.
If that hose is clogged it will only be wet when you run the AC and you will notice not much water coming from under the car from the drain hose which exits under where the passengers feet are.

Best of it - hope this helps

89 740 volvo GL heater failure

Several suggestions:
  • Your thermostat needs replacement and your dash gauge is not reading correctly. Cheap and easy to put in a new thermostat to confirm.
  • Your heater core has a deposit of sediment or minerals restricting the flow of warm coolant in which case the system may benefit from a backflush.
  • The heater water valve has a blockage restricting flow and may be in need of replacement;
  • You have a vacuum leak which causes the heat vent control to work improperly;
  • Your firewall-side heater water valve was installed backwards; The arrow on the valve points to towards the firewall inlet, not back towards the engine.
  • Control cables from the heater control unit to air mixing doors are maladjusted or broken. In heater-only cars (no AC unit), the water valve (which is inside the cabin, above the left footwell) is controlled by a cable from the air mixing door.
  • Check the heater hoses, I have seen several 700's where they are swapped over and it results in ZERO heat. See the section on Water Valve Replacement for correct installation instructions.

Where is the heater core located on the 2002 Volvo S60?

There may be a clogg in the drain for your air condition. Or the drain for the water coming off of the windshield (on the bottom where the wiper blades are, may be clogged with leaves or debris. To check take a hose or alot of water and pour on windshield then look to see if it drips inside on the driver floor. To check if its an Ac drain leak turn AC on and run for a while and check to see if the mat is wet or water is dripping on floor mat. Good Luck
