06 buick lucerne wonr crank key wont turn to off position shifter stuck in park

Define won't crank ? I'am assuming the key will turn to the start position ! When doing so does the starter spin the engine or not ? Trying to define your problem of won't crank . If when you turn the key to start position an the starter spins the engine over but doesn't start an run , this is a cranks no start condition . If nothing happens when you turn the key to start , this is a no crank no start condition . Your vehicle has a safety system , shift interlock , won't let it shift out of park if the brake pedal isn't pressed . Won't let the key turn off either . Electronics involved , locking solenoid's etc.... Floor or column shift ?
The automatic transmission shift lock control system is a safety device that prevents an inadvertent shift out of PARK when the engine is running. The driver must press the brake pedal before moving the shift lever out of the PARK position. The system consists of the following components:
• The automatic transmission shift lock solenoid (serviced as the automatic transmission shift lock actuator), as well as the body control module (BCM) and the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM). The shift lock solenoid is located within the floor shift control assembly with vehicles equipped with floor shift.
• The BCM controls the voltage supply circuit of the shift lock control solenoid. The following conditions must be before the BCM will supply voltage to the shift lock control solenoid.
The BCM controls the voltage to the shift lock control solenoid through the shift lock control solenoid controlled voltage circuit. The following conditions must be met before the BCM will supply voltage to the shift lock solenoid:
• The ignition is in the ON position.
• The ECM/PCM sends an input via GMLAN serial data to the BCM indicating the transmission is in the PARK position.
• The BCM determines the brake pedal is applied according the brake pedal position.
Since the shift lock control solenoid is permanently grounded, the BCM supplies voltage to the automatic transmission shift lock control solenoid, mechanically unlocking the shift lever allowing the driver to move the shift lever out of the PARK position as the solenoid energizes. When the brake pedal is not applied, the BCM turns the control voltage output of the shift lock control solenoid OFF, de-energizing the shift lock control solenoid. The de-energized solenoid mechanically locks the shift lever in the PARK position.
During remote start operation, the BCM will de-energize the shift lock control circuit, locking the shift lever in the PARK position.

Plus the reverse lock out !
The reverse lockout system is a safety feature which prevents an inadvertent shift into reverse at speeds above 5 km/h (3 mph). The system consists of the following components:
• The engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM)
• The reverse lockout solenoid
With the ignition ON, battery voltage is supplied directly to reverse lockout solenoid. At forward speeds above 5 km/h (3 mph), the ECM/PCM commands the reverse lockout solenoid ON by grounding the control circuit of the solenoid. This energizes the solenoid and mechanically prevents the shift lever from being moved into the REVERSE position. At forward speeds below 5 km/h (3 mph), the ECM/PCM commands the reverse lockout solenoid OFF, de-energizing the solenoid, which allows the shift lever to move into the REVERSE position.

Power Mode Master
This vehicles BCM functions as the power mode master (PMM). The ignition switch is a low current switch with multiple discrete ignition switch signals to the PMM for determination the power mode that will be sent over the serial data circuits to the other modules that need this information, and so the PMM will activate relays and other direct outputs of the PMM as needed. Refer to Power Mode Description and Operation for a complete description of power mode functions.
You have no clue of the electronics in your vehicle , your best bet have it towed to the Buick dealer .

If you can't see any obvious reason, like lights on, radio, etc. you have some short circuit in electric system. Get PCM (car's computer) scanned to get a diagnosis and pinpoint location of the problem.

Can you define the action the wire from ignition to starter silanoid performs is it positive or negitive or does it bridge the gap between the 2 termanals

The ignition switch is not connected to the starter solenoid . That wire on the solenoid comes from the starter relay in the under hood fuse / relay box . or battery junction box , an it is positive voltage. The starter is grounded through the engine block. Do you know what a relay is ? When you turn the ignition key to start , that is an input to the PCM - powertrain control module , then if there is no anti-theft system problems the PCM will supply a ground to the control side of the starter relay , energizing the relay . There by sending power to the starter solenoid energizing the starter .

My dodge avenger 2009 is not shifting out of first but the parking and the reverse work i did a basic diagnostic and they recomend me to replace the pcm do you think this is going to work?

I would not recommend changing anything on a guess
run a full fault code check as that will define exactly what sensor/ servo or solenoid is at fault
it could be the TCM that is faulty or maybe just dirty wire connection to the transmission
park is not a gear but a pall in a notched ring around a drum in the box
it could be an input speed sensor not reporting the engine speed correctly sop the TCM is not changing gears
Take it to an accredited specialist transmission shop and have a proper diagnosis done

Did you check the fluid in the battery. Level ok?
But the more worrying thing is the voltage regulator is not working properly anymore. Check the manual, to see at what voltage it should stop and measure if it does.

Ford falcon not idling properly change the sparks and still the same

define properly? (too high/low. or surges or/)?
hot or cold engine or both?
idle is last thing to work,
all else must be good.
the ECU controls idle at all time (not in limphome mode)
all gross misfire causes, idle to fall and los e control
same with lean or flooding. lost control
the ECU/pcm works very hard to keep idle right using its slave ISC.
did you connect a scan tool and scan for errors?

if the scan tool shows AFR perfect in closed loop at idle hot.
then the ISC is stuck.
AFR is perfect air fuel ratio mixture that all EFI do,.

if engine stalls, make sure the EGR does not stick open

my guess is you think the dash guage dont lie?
define overheat.
1: pyro IR gun shoot thermostat house it read 250F?
2: steam rising from hood.
3: green coolant every where.

Battery keeps going dead. Put new one in.

You have a Drain on your Battery. The Nominal drain during the night is 50mA. Anything more than that and you have a issue.

Put a Multi-Meter on your Battery (Between your Battery and your One Terminal's and then one on the Wire itself (Disconnect the NEGATIVE Clamp). MEasure the AMPERAGE DRAW...

Then disconnect one fuse at a time and if the number does not go down. When you get the DRAMATIC DROP, then you have found what system has the draw (test all just for a Piece of mind).

Then once you discovered which system, then you need to dig into that system to define it down to the problem and fix it and then you will have your issue resolved.

My 2005 neon failed emissions. It gave me a codes 0441. What excatly does that define?

Trouble Code Conditions:
Engine at idle speed in closed loop for 200 seconds, BARO Sensor signal less than 8,000 feet, ECT Sensor more than 160ºF, no Low Fuel, MAP Sensor signal less than 23.7" Hg, and the PCM did not detect any purge flow through the EVAP system during this test.

Possible Causes:
  • EVAP purge solenoid vacuum line loose, leaking or restricted
  • EVAP purge solenoid stuck leaking, stuck open or stuck closed
  • EVAP purge vacuum line to canister leaking or disconnected
  • EVAP canister leaking, damaged or has failed
