Testimonial: "It was a wiring issue with the trailer light's control module located behind the driver's rear tire. Somehow, it went bad, and was causing all the problems. I bypassed it and problem solved. Funny, Ive had the Nissan for 9 years and never even used the hitch or light plug and it ended up causing me 2 days of chaos!"

When the are multiples failure on a dash assembly, the professional look for bad grounding points.
Check the bottom of the dash (lower carpet area) for copper grounding clips.
These clips goes onto the edge of the instrument to providing multiple grounding.
Check what items are working. Example: night time light display and look out out word for missing of disconnected ground wires.
There are fuse-able link installed on the dash cluster.
It ask similar to fuse but it react to heat instead.
There will be few cables connected to the clusters;
Check each contacts for package grease that may prevent electrical contacts.
Pull on connector at a time and with some cleaning you will get the cluster working again.

SOURCE: xenon lights blown fuse

You could have a problem with the xenon light itself on the passenger side or the wiring running to the light assembly. You could unplug the connector from the light assembly and replace the fuse if it still blows the fuse, its in the wiring harness if it doesn't it problably is in the light assembly. I'm not sure how the lights are configured on the Z if the zenon lamp is replaceable by itself, you can try swapping it out. I haven't had any problems with my Z but those are a few suggestions on troubleshooting your problem.

What is a dashboard

A dashboard is what holds everything from your radio to airbags to your instrument cluster (speedometer, gas gauge, rpm, etc.) It's basicly everything you see while driving.

Temp gauge on hot even though car is not overheating

Have you checked the temp sensor ? It could be faulty or there could be a wiring problem back to the gauge. Low coolant can cause an air pocket inside the system too.

Dashboard lights and gauges go out, windows won't work

Your alternator is out. Those are classic symptoms of alternating going out. The alternator recharges your electrical system and when it goes out a list of strange things go on inside the dash, and you won't be able to go very far on just a battery. I'm glad you at least made it home. But yes you will need a new alternator for sure. Please rate this response so I can get my ratings back up to 90% at least.

Dashboard Instrument cluster does not work.

there are 2 large terminal plugs with the wiring for all the instruments that are plugged into the back of that panel. make sure they are snug and in place. You reach in and under but it may easier to "simply" remove the cluster. 4 screws hold it in place accessible form underneath and with a long phillips screwdriver and lighting.

Fuse blows causing dash instruments to not function

This could be a problem with what he did if the wiring was not correct and he had to replace the head light or any of the wiring harness to make the car like new. There is a short somewhere. It could be that with the accident some wire got trapped in the metal and when they straightend the body they pinched the wire or something to do with the headlight. I would take it back to him and demand that he shows you exactly what he did. Body shops are known for having issues like this and not wanting to take blame fr a problem
