Buzzing noise in dash

I have had that happen two times: once, there was a coin stuck between the windshield and the front of the dash; the second time it was a leaf in the air vent fan. Good luck!

Central air unit (the outside unit) works fine then fan stops and makes a buzzing or no noise at all, later works fine again then again fan stops

I would start by testing or replacing the blower motor resistor, it's located next to fan, fan wires goto it. When fan stops try tapping on it. The resistor is more common than the fan

I'm not sure the relationship, but if you have a rear heater A/C system in the van. The rear heater core and A/C components are located in the right rear. The buzzing noise sounds like a relay shorted, the buzzing is it rapidly turning off and on. It may indicate an electrical short in the heater A/C system which has a variance on the fan operation.

Buzz noise behind dashboard 2001 GS300 LEXUS

The buzz noise is probably coming from the airflow controls turned off but being stuck in a particular mode such as vents and feet mode or winshield and feet mode, creating a buzzing noise while it is turned off. To stop the buzzing noise turn off the aircondition / heat by pressing the off button, next press the mode button for the fan controls to make the picture point to face only not feet or winshield, this should stop the noise.

I am getting buzzing noise somewhere in the car even if the is off. I started getting this noise last year. It was never there before. It is a 2004 Range Rover

I had the same problem with my 04 RR, the issue was a faulty fan in the ECU. when the noise occurs open the hood and on the passenger side theres a "black box" listen to see if the noise is coming from there if it is then its the fan. was told this is common, cost me $250 to replace. hope this helps.

Humming sound coming from the small speaker over my head ?

That "speaker looking thing" above the drivers head on the headliner is a part of the climate control system.

Here is the GM bulletin regarding it if you are running in to these issue:

Document ID# 1639237

Subject: Buzz Noise From Headliner Above Driver - keywords ac air aspirator cover fan grille HVAC interior microphone sensor speaker temperature vent vibration #PIT3511 - (03/29/2005)

Models: 2000-05 Cadillac Escalade

2002-05 Chevrolet Avalanche

2000-05 Chevrolet Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe

2000-05 GMC Sierra, Yukon, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.

Condition/Concern:
Dealer or customer may comment that they have a buzz or vibration noise emanating from the headliner in an area that looks like microphone or a speaker.

Recommendation/Instructions:
The plastic escutcheon grill, which is round and about the size of a half dollar and located just above the driver to the left, is the interior ambient temperature sensor. The sensor is used in conjunction with the automatic HVAC (C68). On occasions, this sensor has been known to make a buzz or rattle sound. The sensor uses a small fan to pull air over the sensor. This buzz noise may be intermittent.

Although it may not be possible to alleviate all of the buzz or noise from this sensor, Engineering has found that if the sensor is installed incorrectly that it may bind and cause the fan to make a buzz noise. Remove the sensor and while doing so check for any binding. Reinstall the sensor and re-test. If the noise is still present, the sensor itself may be noisy and require replacement.

Buzz

This sounds normal. The engine cooling fan it set to contine to run after being shutoff. If you open the hood at some point and look at the layout, you will see the electric radiator fan in the front of the engine compartment, along with a note that says: caution fan may run w/o vehicle on.
