SOURCE: removing door panel in 2000 toyota corolla

remove phillips scew and the door handle. remove padded arm rest on the door by lifting it up, and remove 2 screws. You can use a panel tool to remove the plastic toggle like pins holding the panel border in. Be as gentle as possible they may break due to becoming brittle.

SOURCE: '03 Toyota Corolla 1,4 VVT-i 4ZZ engine idle rpm

Idle is factory set and cannot be adjusted, your best bet is checking for cracked hose pipework for air intake at idle,(not at problem under exceleration and driving) Any slight upset to the air /fuel ratio will be most prevelent at idle speeds.Check hoses where the meet metal flanges on manifold intakes and any sharp bends in ppipes.Good luck

This vehicle does not use points, it has a solid state magnetic pick up to trigger ignition. Try changing the air filter. A dirty air filter can put the MAF ( mass airflow sensor) out of range.

My Corolla 94, when the car is full stop in Forward Gear, the whole car shakes

Sounds like a loss of a cylinder. See if you have spark at all, and fuel. A bad injector can also do this.

Toyota Corolla

Hi Gina,

This is a safety issue that needs to be taken seriously. Several things come to mind immediately.

  • Have your tires checked and if necessary balanced.
  • Have the the front brakes checked.
  • Have the front ends alignment checked.
  • Have the steering checked
The shaking you are experiencing could result in the failure of one of these causing loss of control. Take extreme care and be safe.
