Low oil pressure after heads replaced

Was the oil changed? Has the low pressure been verified with a mechanical test gauge at the oil pressure sending unit pressure port? Do that 1st before assuming the pressure is low.

What is the code po736

Hi Greg:
DTC P0736 - Reverse incorrect gear ratio

The clutch pressure control (PC) solenoid 2 flows fluid to the 3-5-R clutch when commanded OFF and exhausts fluid when commanded ON. The clutch PC solenoid 2 regulates the transmission fluid pressure to the 3-5-R clutch. The transmission fluid pressure (TFP) switch 1 Opens (High) under fluid pressure and closes (Low) when no pressure is present. The transmission control module (TCM) calculates gear ratio based on data from the automatic transmission input speed sensor (ISS) and the output speed sensor (OSS). The TCM compares the known transmission gear ratio to a calculated gear ratio for each commanded gear.

Circuit/System Verification:
Operate the vehicle to induce a shift from second to third gear while observing TFP Switch 1. Perform this action 2 times. The TFP Switch 1 should change states from Low to High. If the TFP Switch does not change states and no other DTCs set, replace the control solenoid (w/body and TCM) valve assembly. If any other DTCs set, diagnose that DTC first.
Operate the vehicle to obtain sixth gear 2 times and then check for DTCs other than DTC P0736.If any other DTCs set, diagnose that DTC first. If no other DTC sets, continue on with diagnostics.
Operate the vehicle by shifting from Park to Reverse, then while in reverse, operate the vehicle with the calculated throttle position greater than 8% for 5 seconds, perform this maneuver a minimum of 3 times. If the DTC P0736 resets, go to Component Testing.

Component Testing:
Perform the line test procedure.
Inspect the check ball 5 for possible sticking or damage. If you found a concern with this check ball, repair the concern.
Inspect the shift select valve 3 for sticking or damage. If you found a concern with the shift select valve 3, repair or replace the valve or valve body.
Inspect the R-1 (Low and Reverse clutch) assembly for wear or damage. If you found a R-1 assembly concern, repair or replace the R-1 assembly as necessary.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

Not sure what "exp 18" means...but the Low Tire Pressure or tire pressure monitoring on the Aurora is done via the wheel speed sensors. Anytime you fill or add air to the tire you will need to reset the tire pressure monitoring - not just the current indicator, but go to gage->tire pressure and reset.
If any of the wheel speed sensors are having issue, this can effect the reporting to the tire pressure monitoring. If you have an ODB-II scanner that can read ABS codes this is very helpful as it will tell you exactly which sensors are having problems.

AC clutch is not kicking on. I pulled the wire off the low pressure switch and stuck a paper clip into both holes and it kicked on. So i was thinking bad switch. Replaced it as well, still the clutch...

If you are sure that your freon is not low..then stick with the low pressure switch circuit.
Check the wiring on your plug very thoroughly.. These have a problem on many vehicles..
Look at the prongs on the inside of your switch to make sure that neither pin has been bent or damaged. If all this checks out ok.. then plug it all in and shake or wiggle wiring to see if anything makes the system come on..

If all this fails to help you.. then I would unscrew the pressure switch and make sure that you are depressing the schraeder valve..(the valve stem looking guy that is in your accumulator).. There could be a problem with getting actual pressure to make the switch.. Good Luck.. Let me know how you come out..

Idiot light and buzzer for oil coming on at low rpms. Oil level on full. Engine not overheating no excessive noise from lifters. Assuming sending unit or oil pressure switch. Not sure where these are...

It might be the sender unit or you are using an oil grade that is too thin and the oil pressure is down a bit. However, the oil pressure switch is located on the engine block above the sump level and looks a bit like a small spark plug with black insulation. It has one wire coming from it with a press on connector. Replace it and if you have the same problem the next in line would be:-
    Oil change and filter (20W-50)
    Leaking oil pressure relief valve
    Worn oil pump
    Worn valve train components
    Worn bearings

blue smoke is oil possible worn or damaged component in head-usual problem is valve seal or worn valve guides -pull and inspect the spark plugs look for which one[s] is fouled or oil soaked that will narrow down where ur problem is

What does a low oil pressure alarm mean

It means the sensor that detects your oil pressure has seen a situation where the oil pressure is too low and engine damage will result. Could be just a bad sensor, but better have it checked with a mechanical gauge to see exactly what the pressure is.

AC Wont charge after replacing components

whenever the ac system has been opened it should be hooked up to a vacuum pump designed to evacuate the ac system of any foreign debris and oil etc and after should be able to hold a vacuum to show that there are in fact no leaks then if all is ok at this point you can then charge your ac with the proper freon specified for you car when the pressure reaches satisfactory level the ac compressor will then cycle on you should not bypass the low pressure switch
