you have to disconnect the window regulator motor connector and apply 12v at connector. using a jumper wire connect to the motor side connector one to the negative cable and the other to positive connector.
sounds about right and i for one would go along with their diagnosis ,except that being a proper fitter i would rebuild old engine but i suppose its whats cheaper ??
most likely the problem lies with an oxygen sensor. The most common one to fail is on the passenger side of the engine. you will need a special socket to change it. Be sure to put the vehicle on jackstands. It should take less than two hours-start to finish.
