This is no joke. If your subframe is moving you have bolts missing or loose. Bring your car to an alignment shop and have an estimate done. This movement can disrupt your steering and braking effectiveness. Do not let this go on!!!
Good luck Moe

1. subframe mounts.
2. subframe bolts or nut welded to body broken
3. Body rotted out.
Ford has a bulliten and a retrofit kit to fix this issue. Its a pain in the *** you need to pull up the carpet and drill holes and stuff, I did one way back in the day. Took like 2-3 hours but fixed it. I live in minnesota the road salt eats cars up something fierce!!

How to replace motor mounts on 2002 buick century?

http://www.rockauto.com/ and search Buick>2002>Century>3.1>Motor Mounts

There are 2 types of engine mounts. The first one rockauto has listed is the easier to change; they are staring you in the face when you open the hood. To change, you'll need a 15mm socket, a ratchet (extensions are good too) and a 15mm wrech. 4 bolts hold the bracket to above the radiator and then 1 bolt goes through the rubber portion. Remove and replace.

The other mount is a little bit more tricky as it is under the oil pan and above the subframe behind the passenger front tire. This can be replaced by dropping the subframe and supporting the engine or hoisting the engine at a slight angle. IIRC those are 15mm as well but might be 17mm.

While the hood is open. Rn the engine with a helper operating the gas pedal and e-brake locked. Place the car in D and then R while you are watching the engine from the side. Have the helper step on the gas in each of the gears and watch what happens to the engine. If the engine jumps around,, then you have other mounts that are broken and need replacing.

Check eng light on a 1998 buick century coad p7053 12 shift solenoid . IS IT EXT PART OR INT PART , HOW EASY IS THE REPAIR?

The shift solenoids are mounted to the valve body which is behind the side cover of the transmission. Usually you have to lower the trans to remove the side cover, which envolves lowering the subframe. If you drop the subframe the steering rack must be disconnected and the engine must be held from above because most of the motor/trans mounts are on the subframe

98 buick park ave. shakes n shifts hard and noises, is this a transmission sensor?

sounds like a trans mount when they go bad it causes all kinds of shakes , have someone put in gear ,open hood,, watch motor. tell them to hold brake and give it a little gas .Don;t stand in front of car .....see if motor raises up if so replace all mounts motor included. this is a common fix on theses cars.
