I think you are missing some ground wires. Wires that look like they do nothing can be very important. Check for grounds around the firewall and frame. Also make sure the engine is compatable with the computer.

2001 jeep grand cheerokee limited when you turn the key it doesn't make a sound, not even a clicking. After a couple times of trying then it will start

Will you hear a faint click when the hood is open? If not, the starter relay in the power distribution center can be bad. Swap it with an other same relay. If this doesnt help, there could e a problem with the park/neutral switch. Moving the shift lever back and forward could help.
Lastly ould be the ignition switch or wiring.

High Beam headlights don't work, Taillights don't work, Brake lights don't work, Cruise control doesn't work.

Hi Harlan.

I see that you mentioned a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan in your other question. I assume this question is about the same vehicle.

The checkup will start from the fuse and relay in the power distribution center. A way to test the relays is swapping two relays of the same kind to check if that makes any difference.
If relay and fuse are OK check the wiring to power distribution center, check the dimmer switch and the connection to BCM (the module under the dash).

I have uploaded relay map and wiring diagram at this link. Please click on the link. If necessary click on the picture again to enlarge.

Regards.

Horn on 99 Grand Prix stopped working. When pressed, I hear NO clicking or indication of action. I replaced the fuse. No Luck. Don't know where to look for the relay.

On a a 3.8 grand prix, the relay is under the hood, I think its number 16. It has the fuse and the relay. You can swap the relay beside it and try it. If it works then replace the relay, if it doesnt its not the relay....but thats where the relay is located.

My 94 jeep grand cherokee has no spark or fuel to the engine. the check engine light will not come on and the security system doesnt work. gas down the throtle boy doesnt let it start.

1-check fuses if fuses ok go number 2.
2-check for power to the crank shaft sensor (test light) for a positive if no positive replace asd relay.
if you got power to sensor check for signal while cranking on the engine (connect the test light to (+) on battery if no signal replace the sensor. hope this helps.

Where is the starter relay located? 93 plymouth grand voyger 3.3L New starter, but just clicks, will start after many tries.

Check drivers fender area, under hood, near strut mount. You should be able to hear and feel click in one of those relays. Check part #'s on them, they are usually same for 2 or 3, which allows you to use another to test circuit before replacing so you know.

Good engine swap for a 94 grand grand marquis

Another 4.6 out of a '94 Grand Marquis. If you can. That way all the sensors will be correct and the wiring harness will plug-and-play. You can install almost any 4.6 but, depending on the year, there's going to be a lot of issues making them work with the electronics in your '94 Marquis.

it's electrical.  check the polarity on the battery/starter/alternator. if thats not it, get a shop manual and run through all the electrical diags.

I cant get the pcm to accept my jeeps signal to stay running

hi have you tested to see wheather the live feed is still there when it cuts out if not your engine management module controls all security issues not the pcm if its the same part number then it doesnt need any thing doing to it other than plug it in its a case of two things with it being an older vechicle is it worth spending money on example presuming the pcm good the its a process of elimanation do you want to try the ecm expensive or if this is your only problem by-pass it alltogether by putting a fused live feed from your igntion switch to the relay alot cheaper and won,t make a jot of difference to the preformance yates210456
