Question about Volvo 850
Check ignition: verify with timing light. The old practice of holding the live end of the secondary a short distance away from the block is forbidden.
Check fuel system: (ensure you have gas - gauge can always be suspect!) key to KPII listen for a two-second buzz from the gas tank area. N.G., check the fuse. OK, check the relay (under the hood). OK, possibly faulty pump or electrical connections.
Check Air intake - key to KPII, listen for a hum near the throttle body. This indicates your air valve is at least getting a signal from the ECU.
