SOURCE: 2002 jeep wrangler oil pressure gauge drops

When the gauge is at 0, is there any noise from the engine (tick, knock etc?) I would have someone put a mechanical gauge on there and read true pressure.Your driving pressure seems OK but if the low number is "real" something is wrong!

Sounds like a problem with a weak sensor and the computer. You need to get your mechanic to code the car as to rule out any problems with the computer or the sensors. Your car is about the right year for those sensors to start getting weak. When the computer reads those sensors that then sets things. So if the sensor is getting weak, it would not be reading things right so your car would be not running so good. I would be looking at the Throttle Position Sensor. If after coding the car and nothing show up there. I would be checking for a vacuum leak they will often cause this problem. And one more thing when is the last time you did a good tune up on the car? Stark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor? Air filter might be something to look into too. I hope this helps and good luck!

SOURCE: oil pressure goes up for awhile and down for awhile.

I've not heard that a malfunctioning pvc valve could allow most ALL of your oil to leave the engine. The PVC replacement is a regular maintenance item over the lifetime of the vehicle. It is important to check your oil level regularly, like at every gas fillup. Could it be possible the engine was already very low on oil?

Obviously you should change out the pvc valve immediately, change the oil and filter in the vehicle and check the drained oil for metal scrapings and other signs of damage.

My final suggestion is that you have a trusted mechanic check it out.

Well it could be an oil pressure problem, or a faulty oil pressure switch, or something in the wiring harness.
I would have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge.

After driving my car 2006 chevy impala for about 20 miles the dashboard warning light oil pressure low stop engine and the oil warning light appears, but if step on break or slow down it goes out..wha

Verify that the engine has the proper amount of oil. The inertia from accelerating may be moving the oil in the oil pan away from the sensor and causing it to send a signal, then when you slow the oil levels out and the sensor go's off. I've had this happen alot with a taurus that I owned. The simple solution was to top off the oil to the correct level and the sensor did not come on again (until it ran low again, had a leaky oil plug on oil pan).

My 2002 jeep grand cherokee limited is reading low oil pressure but wen i accelerate it goes to middle pressure but then down to low wen i stop wat can be the problem?

Oil pump or other issues
Cam bearings,etc
Bad sending unit

I would put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it,to verify oil pressure.

Certainly stop driving it ,until you find and repair
