SOURCE: passenger side wiper does not

When you tried to move the wiper with the ice it probably broke an inner componette and connecting rodes from motor. You'll haft to inspect the rodes and motor to know what damage is done but it you can move the wiper easily by hand it's definitly broke. If it is real hard and dont want to move it might be jammed and you might be able to move it alittle to move it back into place.

Testimonial: "thanks. yeah, the blade moves fairly easily. hopefully the broken part wont be too difficult to access."

One windshield wiper not working

Maybe the nut that hold the wiper to the linkage is either loose or stripped? The linkage itself is bad?

I think your wiper motor is fine because the passenger side works and uses the same motor to move the wipers.

like the motor running but no side to side movement?.. look at the base of the windsheild( through the vents) and see if the connecting arm is working or not.. it may have broken loose..

2002 ford crown vic. driver side wiper not working? passenger side works

the linkage between the wiper motor and the wiper arms needs to be replaced. the stud on the one side is stripped and that is why it doesn't work as it should. this happens usually when the wipers are left on in the winter with the blades freezing to the windsheild. turn on the car with frozen blades tends to strip out the teeth holding the wiper arms onto the linkage
