That rattle- also does it kinda sound like a chuckle when you roll over a few close bumps?

Id check the front struts...
its an often overlooked item.
I replaced mine and many noises went away
you can perform a simple test by pushing down on the corners of your TC.
1) test all corners... sometimes you can tell if only one side is bad.
2) test s KNOWN car with good (or bad!) suspension to make a point of reference.

P.S. shocks & struts do help ball joints (and other components). Extra wear can occur due to excessive/ unnecessary suspension movement.

It depends on where the noise is coming from. Could be any engine part such as a valve, piston, or flywheel plate.

I have a 2002 Dodge ram 1500. I kept hearing a rattling noise coming from my left tire when I hit potholes and uneven spots only. Doesn't do it on smooth flat roads. So I took it into a shop and they...

Depending on the suspension design the lower ball joints could be rattling but it is less likely on a system that has upper ball joints and if so they tend to produce an altogether heavier knock rather than a rattle.

Worn track rod ends and/or steering racks can cause a rattle but the most common cause is the stabiliser connecting rod - the rod or bar connecting the antiroll bar or stabiliser bar to the suspension arm or strut which traditionally is an arrangement of rubber bushes but more recently using one or two small ball joints.

Shock absorbers too can rattle - a lot!
They break sometimes and sometimes a mounting bolt becomes a little loose and sometimes the internal valves wear and cause horrible rattles for which there is no visible cause...

Ford courier front end knock- clunck

About all the advice I can offer on noise concern is to have a trained technician road test the truck with you and listen to the noise. Noises are hard to diagnose in any type of setting much less over this computer keyboard

This is either caused by a wore out strut/shock in the rear of the car or a broken spring.
