My sister has a Holden Captiva lx series ii 2010 model & the sat Nav audio won't turn off it is constantly on when driving - any ideas would be great thanks

Hi Lisa Apart from taking it to a dealer. I would disconnect the battery for 15 minutes then reconnect the battery and try again. Like our computers some times things freeze and need to be powered down for things to reset. The only issue the radio will have is, it will require a security code to reset the radio after. Hopefully you should have that somewhere, if you don't have the code your local dealer should be able to help. With the captiva there are only about 12 codes and I'm sure the dealer has them listed somewhere. Good luck.

Need help with code for my car radio Holden Captiva vin# kl3cd26gj7b0421o7 car is over 10 yrs never knew it needed a code for radio before

Hi ann Radio codes are unlikely to be given, for security reasons.
however if you go to a Holden dealer i believe there are only about 10 codes that are used for the captiva and they should have them listed it will take a max of about 20 minutes to sort your radio out. It may be advisable to take proof of ownership with you if the Dealer doesn't know you.Good luck

Hi guys I need the radio code for my 2010 Holden Captiva vin KL3CD26GJAB093532 ?? Cheers

Sorry I could probably give you the code but for security reasons i decline. No disrespect to you but in reality radio's do get stolen. As you will know doubt appreciate if someone had stolen your radio and I gave away your radio code to them I'm sure you would not be very pleased, I know If it was mine i would be very annoyed. If you take your vehicle to a holden Dealer with proof of ownership for a small sum of money they will obtain the code and may be able to reset your radio while you wait. sorry once again Good luck.

2007 captiva radio code

HiNicole, You can check out the link below for more information or take your registration papers with your licence (licence is to prove YOU own the car) to a car dealer ie: Holden, Ford, Chrysler and ask at the sales office for the RADIO SECURITY PIN NUMBER, You'll receive your Radio security pin number and Radio serial number. These numbers belong to your car and once you have them DON'T loose them because in Australia some dealers charge a fee and some don't.... Hope this helped....CHEERS..

Resetting computer on 2008 chevy cobalt

Hi Rich,
I have reset computers on my vehicles by removing the battery terminal, and then contacting the two terminals together for a few seconds - away form the battery. This should take any residual charge from the car system, and computer.
Wait a couple of minutes, then re-connect the terminals to the battery. Usually this loses the stored stations on your radio, so have the security codes ready to reset your radio.
Hope this helps you.

I have a 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo LS. I had problems with the security system not letting my car start and took it to several chevy dealers before they realized it was codes that needed to be deleted. :( ...

I am not 100 percent on this because I am not a radio guy but each radio from GM has a code number input to the computer or sirrus radio (thief protection)so they can turn it on remotely and the ecm is not recognizing the new radio. If you have a scanner read the codes or reset them. You maybe able to change the code with a scanner I am just not sure. Hope this helps some.
