the heater core is located under the dash board on the passenger side. its a pain. here's more details

SOURCE: The battery light keeps coming
The alternator is bad. Sometimes the check does not reveal a bad rectifier inside the alternator and when you have a heavy load it will start failing so the light comes on.

Look under the truck looking forward on the passenger side of the transmission. It is mounted just off to the side of the transmission housing.

There is a master fuse in the engine bay on the left side in a box where all the high demand fuses are located.. I would look there. It would be a big size colored twin blade fuse.
