IT will be at the end of the clutch pedal on top of the clutch master cylinder . However it is the practice now to have the clutch reservoir as part of the brake reservoir with it's own compartment

SOURCE: Clutch has no resistance, stays near floor after applying pressur

I had this same problem on my last 91 accord. You most likely have air in the line. I had to bleed the line for the master cylinder, and then refill the clutch popped up right off the floor. As long as it is not continuious then I would try this. All I needed was a wrench. and i didnt cost me anything. Hope this helps, if you buy the book it will show you how to do it, just look under clutch it will show you how to bleed it. Good Luck.

If the seals around the shafts of master and slave are tight, they may be concealing a leak with fluid bypassing the piston seals internal to the two assemblies. Either your master or slave cylinders need to be replaced ot have new seals installed. Once you find the culprit and have installed a replacement, you will have to bleed the lines to evacuate air trap in the lines.

SOURCE: Abnormal clutch pedal operation

You've replaced the master, the slave, now I would check to see if the throwout fork will move by hand. If you can move the fork by hand I would say that your pressure plate and or throwout bearing are worn out. First try to just gravity bleed the system. If that doesnt work, it may be time for a clutch, pressure plate, and bearing. The pressure plate spring pushes the pedal back up and depending on how many miles and driving habit those little arms on it break off and just wear out. I hope this helps you.

I have a 2003 Ford Focus lx and the clutch pedal has no resistance on it and it will not go into gear. Please help I need this car to get to work

Check the clutch fluid level. It will be a small reservoir close to the brake master cylinder. If the clutch reservoir is empty, add fluid.( brake fluid ) You may have to perform a bleed procedure at the clutch slave cylinder attached to the transmission Pump the clutch pedal several times and have someone open the bleeder screw until fluid comes out and the clutch pedal has its resistance back

WHAT HAPPENS IF HYDRAULIC OIL IS PUT INTO THE CLUTCH RESERVOIR?

if the clutch works it should be okay but I would not do it because brake/clutch fluid is designed with specific properties for this purpose. If you hydraulic fluid is already in the reservoir only and not throughout the system then you could suck out the reservoir with a turkey baster and replace with correct fluid. The CORRECT solution if hydraulic fluid has been introduced to the system id to bleed the entire system from the clutch slave cylinder back to the master cylinder.

My 95 ford probe has a hard time going into gear i push the clutch in and try to put it into first i sometimes can but mustly i really gotta force it to go into first and the rest of the gears as well

Sounds like there is likely a master cylinder or slave cylinder leak. These are the two that push the hydraulic fluid to the clutch mechanism and sequentially the slave cylinder after getting the pressure of the forced fluid to it from the master, it forces the rod out of it the move the clutch mechanism so that the clutch engages and disengages the engine/trans.
also check if you have a brake line leak as the brake fluid reservoir shares its fluid with the clutch master cylinder. If enough of the fluid is being drained out of the brake reservoir so that you are pumping air into the clutch slave cylinder, but still have enough in the reservoir to have the brakes working, then you should check that as well. I however think its likely either the clutch master or slave.

How do you bleed the clutch hydraulic system on a 2008 Mustang?

you bleed a hydraulic clutch the same way you bleed a brake system and it uses brake fluid as well.you keep bleeding until there is no more air in the clutch system.there should be a bleeder screw on the clutch slave cylinder that is were you bleed the clutch from.

Where is the clutch hydraulic reservoir on a 1993 ford escort lx?

The clutch and brake system use the same reservoir, there is a hose coming out from the side of the reservoir that goes over to the clutch master cylinder. Sometimes the brake fluid level goes low as brake pads wear and lowers the fluid level too low to work the clutch. Hope this helps, let me know.

I have a 2003 ford mustang gt stick shift. clutch sliping

sounds like you have a worn or misadjusted clutch, but if your clutch is self adjusting meaning a operated with hydraulic pressure (Brake Fluid) then you could have leaking slave cylinder that maybe wetting the clutch disc with brake fluid causing a slippage, or just a worn clutch, in which case you will need to inspect inside bellhousing...

I just installed a clutch master cylinder in my '05 ford focus. How do I bleed the unit or system of air?

just the same as brakes.....open fluid reservoir, open bleed nipple at slave cylinder, have someone press the clutch pedal 4 times, and hold down on 4th stroke, close nipple..repeat process 3 or 4 times till you have clutch pressure, top up with fluid, and close reservoir

Convertible top goes down and won't come back up.

You are probably low on fluid.
Behind the rear seat is the motor/pump/reservoir.
With the top down, fill the reservoir till it overflows with ATF. Cycle the system a few times. Repeat till the reservoir will accept no more fluid.
Look for leaking lines or cylinders. The fluid must have gone someplace.
Always replace lines and or cylinders in pairs.
