Look into the following:
Weak cylinder compression. (Check valve clearance)
Clean the throttle body and re-learn idle speed control system.
The abnormal engine noise is often called piston slap and it is heard at cold start when the ambient temperature is near to zero. This is absolutely harmless.

SOURCE: 2000 VW Beetle will not start in cold, runs fine above 40 degrees

I was just reading the owners manual for my 2000 beetle and it says the diesel fuel has a problem with the wax separating from it below 40 degrees. Put the car in a warm garage and it will start.

Toyota corolla 2.0 doesnot start early in the morning, until it gets hot

You most likely need a tune up. You probably need Spark plugs at the least and possibly plug wires and maybe a distributor cap (you didn't say what year your corolla is).

Toyota corolla 1998 not moving in the morning

i crank car.
it starts, engine idles at 1000 to 1500 rpm cold. good
it don't misfire or shake (tuneups work)
i shift in to gear. Drive. or reverse.. car dont move
i step on gas, and RPM goes way high and car will not move.
there is my guess. correct my errors.
or post yours.

My 2009 toyota corolla's wipers dont work when it gets cold .

Hi, suggest you buy a tin of WD40 & spray the fuses & any connections (wiring) if you can get to rear connections of the windscreen wiper motor spray that as well this will solve all the problems I know this through experience. Please give feedback at crossflowspeed@hotmail.co.uk Thanks, Malcolm Campbell.

Leave the car off over night. Turn on the ignition and note the position. If is doesn't drop to cold....you have problems.

2004 toyota corolla-battery is 1 1/2 years old. Car wouldn't start this morning or take a jump charge. No radio and interior light is dim. no clicking noise when I turn on the ignition. Any ideas?

bad connection from battery to car. If you hook up jumer cables adn you still have no lights, you have a bad connection. Loosen battery cables and wiggle them or take sandpaper and get a good clean connection.
