I have 2003 dodge 2500 two wheel drive have a bad raidle on the front driver side when im on a rough road

ok that rattle if that what you meant could be you shocks are gone on that side or it could be you lower control arm bushens may be bad or you tirerod end is bad check this right away it could be dangerous ,now just to give you an idea how to check those parts, jack that side up off the ground then support the vehicle, then hold the wheel at quarter to three that would be strait across the shake it left to right if you have any movement its your tirerod end then put your hand at six oclock thats strait up and down now try a push and pull movement if you have any movement you wheel bearing is bad now some time you may not have a movement but the wheel bearing still could be bad, now, check your lower control arm, look for a broken bushen ,inspect your shock as well

Knocking noise when cornering

If you can figure out what side it is coming from, it is probably the velocity joint in the half shaft (drive shaft) going to the wheel. Please rate my answer so I am rewarded points for it.

1999 chevy silverado z71 5.3 ujoints just got changed loud squeal in back sound like center of drive shaft / no vibration when driving, no play up/down side to side on drive shaft,is it in the rearend or...

i would suspect bad driveshaft hanger bearing - to confirm, jack up back end of truck and hold up with jack stands. have someone in the truck to accelerate to the speed where you hear the noise, listen for the noise - a stethescope is very useful for this. good luck!

Knocking noise more on right side, but left side turns also

Check the boots at the ends of the front axles...If one is torn the joint has likely failed and needs to be replaced.

Vibration and noise from front end while driving

Jack up the front end and put stands under it and block rear wheels. Look at axle boots and see if they are cracked. Try turning wheel back and forth sharply and see if you can hear any clicking. Problem could be outer axle joints. If the boots are cracked or you hear a clicking noise you will have to replace the axle. The axle and boot come as a complete unit. Please let me know what you find out.

I hear a knocking noise while driving

Check your outer c/v joints..a torn boot is a dead giveaway for joint failure (boot fails, lets dirt into joint, joint fails) Also since you didn't mention if noise is also preaent standing still, check the exhaust to make sure it's not hitting floor pan anywhere. (most likely the joint though)

4x4 light and knocking noise after driving

If you hear the noise after the engine is turned off that noise is most likely the exhaust system cooling down. As far as the light for the 4 wheel drive that requires a test be run with a special scan tool while the problem is occurring.

The noise you are hearing when you turn is most likely a CV joint in one of the transaxle shafts. Start by checking each 1\2 shaft CV boot for tears, grease slung out of it,etc. You can replace the 1/2 shaft making the noise, but you will have to determine which one it is. The easiest way to do this is to have 2 people in the car with the front windows down, and no noise interference going on, (like a big empty parking lot or something). Turn the wheel while driving and see who hears the noise the loudest. Based on my experience, (I still drive a 99 Breeze with 155,000 miles on it), it's probably going to be on the drivers side. Have you hit or run over anything recently?
