Question about 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2WD
I have replaced the drivers side mirror and there doesn't seem to be enough adjustment to get the view high enough. Also, after the replacement, all of the power control operate backwards. Where did I screw up?

sounds like your drivers door module either fried or lost power, if you can get it scanned it should come up with a trouble code, or if your inclined, you can check the connectors on the module for the switches and make sure they are in all the way. just gently pull up on the trim around the switches starting at the rear of the trim, 2 clips hold it in place, it should pop out, then you can check the connectors

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls and mirror. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror assembly onto the door
