Depends,
some cars yes, others a circuit breaker under dash.
why ask size?
open the operators guide , its there. (google for it if lost)
see power wind. fuse. there it is , and size.
if all fuses on car are not bad, then why look for it.
if no fuse box fuse exists, then there IS a breaker preventing all fires in this circuit.

What fuse ? Your power windows has no fuse or no relay ! Has a 25 amp circuit breaker .Testing for power an grounds at the window switches would be a good place to start . Do you know how to do automtive electrical testing using a volt meter or a test light ? Using a wiring diagram so you know which wires to test . Here is a web site for free wiring diagrams . http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info. year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click power windows . Which fuse on my 2006 ford mustang 6 cylinder is for the power windows.

Click on the link for part of wiring diagram. You can see fuse and relay in smart junction box. The smart junction box, behind right hand lower A pillar panel, passenger side. I can't walk you through it, because I'd have to look at it.

Hey Joe, not trying to bug you. If I spend time trying to find info, I'm going to post it, regardless of how many answers on the post. You should do the same. Have a good day.

My drivers side power controls aren't working. Is it a fuse issue and if it is what size fuse do I need as replacement.

For the power seat, power mirror, power locks or power windows? Open up the fuse box and look for a blown fuse.

I am putting doors on my 1984 ford f150 from a 1985 ford firo which has power windows I need a diagram to wire power to the switches

You don't need a diagram, just power thru the doors at the hinge. Run 2(two) wires, one black and one red, thru an opening at the door hinge, even if you have to make the opening. Go to any fuse in the panel and find which is the hot side by pulling the fuse and test for the hot side. Stick a fuse tap on that side of the fuse and put the fuse back in. Get this fuse tap from any auto parts store. Get a pack of female spade connectors to connect the red wire of the wire size needed. Size 10 will do for this. Get some size 10 straight connectors also. Connect the red wire to the hot wire going to the window motor. Connect the black wire to the ground wire on the motor. now connect the other end of the black wire under the head of a bolt under dash. First in mind though, be sure the fuse you connect the red wire to is switch activated when on and off when switch is off. Power windows are great when you gottem. I plan on doing my Toyota with window power units from an Oldsmobile. It will happen. Breeze on Bro.

Power window fuse size and where to put them

Your owner's manual should tell you where the fuses are and the size. If you no longer have the owner's manual this may help. There is a fuse panel on both sides of the dash if you open the front driver and passenger door's. Pull the cover off of each one of these, on the inside of the lid is a diagram of what each individual fuse is for, the ones for the power windows should be listed including what size fuse to replace the original with. There are also two other fuse boxes under the hood but these pertain more to the fuel and emissions systems along with the ignition and starting systems. I would think the power window fuses are in the panels located on the sides of the dash.

Power Windows quit working on 2004 Mercury Mountaineer. Checked one fuse, and it is good. Manual shows 30 A Circuit Breaker, but not sure how to check, or if that could be problem.

fuses this size are usually under the hood on the drivers side fenderwell , black square box, possibly a hand type screw holding the cap on, not really a way to test these fuses other than to find one of a similar size in the fuse panel of a known working circuit and swap it with the power window fuse temporarily to see if they work

My interior dome lights do not work and neither do my power locks, i am sure this is the same fuse, i open the fuse box in the engine and there is a fuse missing and it is labeled done, i read my owners...

Are you putting in the right size fuse? Your owners manual should direct you to what size fuse to place in there, and be sure to use this size. don't use a higher size, as it could cause a short and/or fire.

If you are using the right size fuse.. then you have a short in that system... somewhere.

I need help finding the correct fuse for the power windows. all of the power windows stopped working at the same time, so i figured it was a fuse problem. i know where the fuse box is, but which fuse is...

this system doesnt use fuses it uses ciruit breaker for the windows, these hardly ever go bad, what does go is the wiring, remove the rubber boot in the middle of door hinges, there il bet you will find broken wires, take a look.let me know.
