Type your question here..Brake light on insstament panel stays on.car can bearly stop.Used foam tire cleaner on rotor.out of brake fluid.called Nissan. Said fill brake cylider with the correct grade. ...

First important thing to do is find out where the brake fluid goes when it's leaking from the master reservoir. Fill the reservoir then have an assistant pump the brake while you look at the braking system circuit i.e:1. the 4 tires. Is there brake fluid on any of them? If yes then the wheel cylinder is leaking.2. the brake lines and hoses3. the masterAs said earlier, where the fluid is leaking out is where the problem is.

I have a maxima 1993 I change brake pump and booster and front pads and rear choose.. And the brake pedal keeps going down a little by little. It's like if was loosing some presure.. Some where.. Not so...

if you are losing peddle and their are no leaks in the system, meaning you have to keep adding fluid then you have an internal leak in the master cylinder . if it was just air in the lines, not bleed right you would have a spongey peddle meaning it would stop but the peddle would feel like rubber, or it would pull to one side

I have a 92 nissan maxima that is leaking brake fluid directly from the anti-lock brake system, the system where all brake lines come together. When the brake is pumped a tiny bit fluid shoots out.

you may have to replace the abs controller thats leaking, you must clean it off and then pump the brake pedal and watch for the leak, if its coming from the lines then they can be thightened, but if its from the housing of the unit then you have to replace it. hope this helps.

There are obvious signs of brake fluid leaking all over my rear tire rim. what causes it to leak in that area , and how do i fix the problem?

wheel cylinders cause that and the solution would be to do a rear brake job and change the wheel cylinders and bleed the brake system

bleed the brakes and see if it goes away.

if you add fluid as your brakes wore down when they compressed the calipers in the fluid pushes back into the reservoir causing it to overfill.
is it leaking out the top?or from where the lines connect? do they feel spongy?your breaks shouldn't grab per say you have anti lock brakes so you should get a pulsation when you hit them hard. if you have a leak in the reservoir you could have sucked in some air.causing a loss of hydraulic pressure.have you noticed your fluid level drop significantly? hope i helped you figure it out or gave you some kinda clue.

Brake problem

Do you have a leak? If not try bleeding the ones that don't work. If you get no fluid pressure, replace the master cylinder.

Leak

Sounds like a bad brake wheel cylinder (drum brakes) or caliper (disk brakes).

Brake light on nissan maxima 1997

First check your brake fluid. It may be low. If its low, have your brakes checked, they may be worn out and you may need brakes. If the master cylinder is tottaly empty, than you may have a leak. Here is a quick test for the E-brake switch. Look at the "brake light" while its on and pul on the e-brake while you are holding the release button in the handle. Pump the e-brake lever repeadetly and observe the "brake light" if it gets brighter and dimmes as you are pumping the e-brake lever., than the swithc is OK and you have a low brake fluid level. Hope this helps. let me know what you find.
