How do you remove the spark plug tubes to get at theplugs out,is their a special tool,it seems like something is holding them

There are special tools for this but usually not needed as the tube is usually only stuck on from heat and twisting while pulling will get it off.

My 2000 Firebird still has a factory set of plug wires that have a round aluminum cover at the plug. Is there a special tool to remove the wire?

The cover just pulls off the boot once you get the wire off, and installs on the next boot. No, there's no special tool; most people just turn it to break it loose, and then pull it off.

Need info on replacing spark plugs and wires on 1998 volvo s70 2.4 liter engine . Any special tools required? Does the cover need to be removed to access the plugs?

No special tools required. Yes you have to take off the black cover. There should be like 6 or 8 bolts on the cover. 27 torx. After you take the cover off, you will have the ignition coils on top of the spark plugs. They are bolted down with 10mm bolts. take out the 10mm bolts and pull the ignition coils out. There you will have your spark plugs open to take out. Use the OEM recomended plugs. if you get the opti spark or some othe different multi electrode you will tend to have miss fires. Good luck

Changing rear spark plugs on an 05 Bonnevile V6

No special tools, however the hard part will be getting the plug wires off without pulling the inner contact apart. Rotate the boots on the plugs before trying to remove the wires.
