The reason that your side brakes do not work is because your brake light switch has gone out. Your particular brake light switch has two lines going out of it which is what makes it so you still have your center brake light. The switch is located on the pedal and is fairly easy and cheap to replace. Replace it and your brake lights will be back to normal. Let me know if you have any further questions about this. Brake lights rear blinkers quit working when turn signal is on flashes really fast

You simply have a burned out bulb or bulbs. With the key turned on turn on the directional for the left side and then the right side. Typically one bulb is blown and the opposite side works normally. Observe the normal side and note which is the flashing bulb. It is the flashing bulb on the other (malfunctioning) side that needs to be replaced. To replace the bulb you must remove the entire brakelight assembly, which isn't difficult. Open the trunk and locate the electrical harness that lines up with the brakelight assembly. Near the harness, locate the two (possibly three) nuts or wingnuts that attach the brakelight assembly to the car. Once the nuts are removed, the assembly can be pulled off the rear of the car. After replacing the bulb, be sure to test the operation of the new bulb before reassembling everthing.

Rear brakelights dont come on fuses and bulbs are fine rear window brake light works

If the high level brake light works, then the brake light circuit is fully functional.

Brake light bulbs may LOOK fine, but can still have failed. Often folks don't notice that one bulb has failed until the second one has blown; it's then easy to incorrectly assume that the fault is more complex.

Try replacing the brake light bulbs: if that doesn't work then please report back for additional options.

Tail lights

These are famous for the circuit boards in the tail lights going bad. If the tail lights are in bad condition, replace the whole tail light, if the lenses are good, then you can buy just the circuit boards. Any (Good) parts store should have them.

My peugeot 206 break lights dont work. Only the top center light. Which is only part working.

Since the center one is working it means tht the fuse to them allis ok as they are connected together, you will haveto check the rear bulbs and probably replace them both sides.
Hope this helps!

No brakelights or taillights

Yop may have a very common problem unique to that year car.
I have two definite fixes for you:
Open the trunk. Look at the wiring harness that is hooked onto the driver side arm that holds the trunk lid to the body. Untape the wiring harness from the edge of the trunk lid back towards the driver rear seat. You are most likely going to find a broken wire or two, prob a green with a red tracer. The repeated action of lifting/closing the trunklid seems to break the brake/tail power wires. If the wiring harness is perfect, no breaks, AND you have a rear spoiler, remove the trunk interior trim that faces the driver side 1/4 panel. Hidden behind a brace will be a small box. This is the brake lamp sensor. If it has failed, you may need to replace this box. Either fix should resolve your issue.

Rear brakelights don't work but center brakelight does

Hi,

Pls check:
  • the brake bulbs;
  • the bulb socket and the terminals/contacts;
  • the grounding of the brake lights. A workaround is to simply hardwire another grounding wire from the body of the brake bulb socket to the body of the vehicle.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
