Serpentine belt not broken but will not run on pulleys engine starts but belt stays still

Did you recently replace the belt? If so, did you get the right belt ( not to short or to long). If not, was there any noise before it stopped moving? If the belt hasn't been touched, then it sounds like another component has seized and isn't allowing the belt to move. You could have oil, transmission oil, or anti-freeze on the belt / pulleys allowing it to slip. Belts become glazed with age and also need to be replaced. I would start with checking all the pulleys for smooth noise free operation, then clean all the surfaces, and change the belt. I like the Goodyear Gator belts.

2001 holden rodeo air conditioning broken, broken fan belt, suitable fanbelt to bypass aircon

Use the same belt as the ac compressor will not work unless you turn it on. Disconnect the wire to the ac pulley clutch and the pulley just becomes an idler and you can get the standard belt anywhere.

Power steering just went out suddenly after being stuck on a hill because of snow?

If your drive belt is still on all the pulleys yet and turning properly but you have no power assist then the power steering pump shaft may have broken. Usually the pulley will stay in place and keep turning as usual but if the shaft is broken inside the pump you won't have any assist. I've fixed two so far this winter for this same problem this winter and both were on vehicles that were stuck or ran off of the road into the snow. On both of those you could pull the power steering pump pulley and shaft outwards quite a ways once the belt was removed due to the broken shaft. Ordinarily the pulley won't move in or out more than a fraction of an inch. If the shaft is broken then the pump would need to be replaced.

My 2004 PT cruiser is on its second serpentine belt tensioner pulley. The dealer and parts houses only sell the "tensioner/pulley as an assembly. I only need the pulley. Do you know where I can buy just...

If you are on your second tensioner/pulley you have an alignment problem with your belt. I don't know if that is a broken engine mount you saw but it could be your problem with the belt. And no you have to buy the whole part.

Broken Belt under the 1998 Plymouth Breeze 2.4L DOHC 4 Cyl. engine.

Sounds like you have a broken belt that drives the alternator, water pump and maybe the power steering depending on engine type and size. Have the belt replaced before driving car as if you overheat the engine you could end up with major engine damage. The belt on the 2.4 litre engine is manually adjusted with a bolt on the alternator housing. To install this belt yourself maybe difficult if you do not know the routing of the belt around the number of pulleys involved. get help.

Broken bottom alternator belt

Check those pulleys that the Alternator belt runs on and make sure that they are ok. Make sure that oil is NOT getting on this belt (form oil leaks ) that's one of the most common reasons for belts to break that often. Good Luck
