Dear friend-it sounds like the drivetrain packed up,it is possibly the diff that broke and jammed the drivetrain.

SOURCE: slow acceleration and jerking when put in drive or reverse

Just wondering if you had checked your trans fluid?
If it's at the right level I might go back to the place that did the tranny work and have a chat with them,
If your fluid is low you have to get it at the dealer, I think it is call sp5, I'll go check the bottle I have.

SOURCE: shift in gear won't go , front wheels locked up

Hate to say it but it sounds like your looking at a new or rebuilt transmission. Get a diagnosis anyway, just to be sure I'm not jumping the gun.

SOURCE: 97 yukon 4wd. Jerks and makes noise like its

Hi amberdawn_84

My 97 yukon did the same thing (I believe). The valve body in the transmisson wears out (design problem) and causes the transmission to shift really hard. My repair was about $500 (nondealer).
LOVE MY YUKON!

What's your question? It could be a bad belt, A/C compressor, water pump, main bearing, connecting rod, lifter, just about anything. Needs to be looked at by a mechanic.

The wheels turning opposite is normal. It's how the differential works. You need to get the transmission checked out by a qualified tranny person.

My trail blazer has something in the front end that is really growling. it started out just a slight noise, now it is really loud!! I don't feel anything like a wheel bearing being loose, just really loud.

Had the same problem in my 2004 Trailblazer. Finally figured out it was the air pump on the driver side right under the driver side floorboard. Took it off and it was full off water because of a design flow by Chevrolet. I took the pump off and emptied the water out and dried it out real good and the noise stopped. I re routed the intake for the pump away from the front of the truck and haven't heard the noise since.
