Question about 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan
When i was coming to a stop my van my a very loud noise, and started jerking. When i took off it started jerking with the loud noise again and stopped moving. tried to put it in reverse it jerked made loud noise and would not go. it felt like something was stopping it from moving. we put it in neutral to move it but it would not move. it had to be towed by a wrecker truck by the front tires. The front tires would not turn.
Dear friend-it sounds like the drivetrain packed up,it is possibly the diff that broke and jammed the drivetrain.

Just wondering if you had checked your trans fluid?
If it's at the right level I might go back to the place that did the tranny work and have a chat with them,
If your fluid is low you have to get it at the dealer, I think it is call sp5, I'll go check the bottle I have.

Hate to say it but it sounds like your looking at a new or rebuilt transmission. Get a diagnosis anyway, just to be sure I'm not jumping the gun.

My 97 yukon did the same thing (I believe). The valve body in the transmisson wears out (design problem) and causes the transmission to shift really hard. My repair was about $500 (nondealer).
LOVE MY YUKON!
