SOURCE: nissan xterra knock sensor

It's the valley of the engine underneath the intake manifold. It's about an $800 job because the top of the engine has to come off. However, unless you have a supercharged xterra it shouldn't effect performance. Also, the knock sensor will not trip the check engine light, as it does not indicate a primary problem, so if your light is on you should have another code that should be fixed first.

SOURCE: I have a 2003 nissan xterra. The fuse keeps

If you have the money you should take your car to the mechanic as soon as possible and have them check the wiring behind and under your head lights. Or have them check your main electrical harness that contains your fuse box. the main bulk of wires runs on the right side of the engine by your head light. I had the exact same problem in my 03 x-terra. By the time I took my car in (about 3 months after intial problem stared) my entire electrical harness was burnt up and melted. I am looking at a bill $1600-$2000 to fix the problem. I can't drive my car cause it could catch on fire. please look at that very soon. I couldn't find the problem either till I took it in.

07 Nissan pathfinder gose in to a sabe mode u1000

ok, is you check engine light on? hook up your obd2 scanner and reset it... if it comes back there is a tech service bulletin about this and xterra models about the ground wires to the chassis aren't tight enough ~ but you will have to be methodical to get at all the ground wires

a nissan mechanic Roy at justanswer.com noted this problem, but it's all over the internet ~ various TSBs with this trouble code that will confirm his expertise answer

i'm going to supply you the FSM so you can go through it to locate the ground wires (courtesy of Greg at nicoclub.com)

EC-152 and get a cup of coffee to read through that

What is wrong when vibration of chasis is noticed when driving at a low speed of 20-30miles per hour, whell balancing and allignment have been done

Please check if the engine mountings and the drvies are not wobbling at this speed. You must lift up each wheel and test for noise or wobbling of the bearings. Also assuming that your tyres are new , if not replace the tyres as there could be uneven wearing making this to react at slow speeds. You will need to check on the balance rods, the suspension springs / bushes and silencer mountings for any slackness. this might also produce the sympathetic vibration. Hope you get this right.Good day

Nissan xterra 2003 one breaklight top one is not working. I have change bulb but it is not working

Could be bad contact inside socket. Try turning all lights off and use a file, sandpaper or screwdriver to scratch off any corrosion or contaminent. If this works put white grease on contacts. If this doesn't, then it has to be wiring harness. Follow wires back 'til you find break or disconnection wires or ground.
