You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them.

SOURCE: I need to remove the door panel on my 2004 Avalanche

There are plastic clips that hold the door panel inplace .. First look for any hidden screws near the door handle . there might be a little plastic cover that you need to remove with a small screw driver to find the screws.. look under the handle also to see if there are any hidden screws . next take a flat blade screw driver and start at the bottom corner and try gently prying the door panel off . try to stay close to the plastic clips not to damage them by prying real hard .. once you have snapped them loose all the way around .. lift up on the door panel to remove it from around the window lip and out it should come.. holler if you have any problems.. usually The mirrors on the chevys are up above the panel and there is a triangle plastic cover over it on the inside .. it will pry off also gently and there are 3 nuts there that need to be removed .. use caution these fall behind the door panel ... holler if you need more. Cracked drivers side heated signal mirror for 2004 Avalanche, should I just replace glass mirror?

Most heated mirrors on vehicles are made together. In other words, just replacing the mirror may or may not fix your problem. It would be more economical to purchase the entire assembly and replace it.

Need to replace drivers side power mirror on 1999

Remove that plastic piece at the top of the door panel, ( it just unsnaps straight out), use a small screwdriver or putty knife to help pry it up, it's held in place by plastic clips so be gentle.
Unplug the connector from the mirror,
Remove the nuts and the mirror assembly will come off, don't let it fall.
Installation is the reverse.

My drivers side mirror was bumped and now does not line up?

if the glass is broken or need it replaced. You need to remove the door panel approx. five phillips head screws, remove the triangular plastic cover in the corner or the window. Remove the 3 ten mm bolts, if electrical mirror then disconnect and replace. The screws to remove the door are behind the handle, you need to pop uo the window control panel in the door and then search for the other screws. There are many clips along the door panel so some slight pulling is needed.

Replacement of the side reaerview mirror on a

so you don't need to change the housing, but just the panel the mirror sits on right? If you mean the entire unit, then you'll need to remove your door panel (screws are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door) and remove the cover adjacent to your mirror to remove the bolts to remove the mirror.

If it's just the back and the mirror, you'll need to angle the mirror until you can see the release clips on the back of the panel that mounts it to the housing (Pivot Point)... be very careful as the clips can easily break....

Replacing the driver's side mirror on Toyota 2004 4 unner

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

1) remove speaker cover on inside door panel:

2) Use a small screwdriver to pry it away from the door. Be careful of the paint:

3) The panel will expose the 3 main bolts that need to be removed:
3_18_2013_2_43_24_pm.jpg

4) The cable harness needs to be removed this is located behind the door panel. Remove the one screw behind the screw cover:

Once the one screw is removed it will allow you to move the door panel enough to get to the harness and the 2 bottom bolts.

Here is how the harness looks:

Once the harness is removed and the 3 bolts removed the mirror will come out.

Repeat the steps to re install your new mirror.
