most likely it is not actually a misfire it is the overdrive/TCC solenoid kicking on and off, it is a common GM transmission issue

The symptoms your describing would indicate burnt valves to me. Do a compression test, it should tell you for sure. If any of your cylinders are off by about10% or more that will confirm it, you'll need a vavle job.
