Check that he cabin recirculating vent is in the off position as if it is not all your are doing is introducing hot air in and the ac will not be able to keep up. Next to check the ac temperature place a small thermometer in a dash vent . The ac if it is working ok will get the air down to around 15 degrees f. Remember that as the body adjusts to the drier air in the car it feels as if the ac is not cooling enough.. Try a different ac mechanic as the dealer may be trying to put you off. You may need a fan in front of the condenser to assist with cooling as the ac will cut off if the 2 pressure switches read a pressure 2 high or too low in the system

SOURCE: AirFlow stopped working on E39 1998

  1. check your fan belt, if your fan belt is in the normal position and no problem.
  2. check your compressor and also check the clutch, it is locate right in front of the compressor, when you turn on your air conidition, the clutch should be turn with the fan belt. If it is not, that means your compressor had problem.
  3. check fuse.
  4. check the freon small flow window see if the lique bubbling too much, if it is means you need fill up R-12 freon.
  5. you probably can not do it yourself, in case if you need freon and your compressor is completely empety, you need a special tool to **** the air out first and than fill up freon.
  6. if your air condition is leaking, and you have to fill up a can of special check leaking freon with red colour first, until you find the leaking parts, fix it then you can fill up freon

SOURCE: air condition not blowing cold air

Is any air coming out at all?

If warm air is being blown out, then your refrigerant level is probably low. The car is fitted with a safety cut off, to stop the air conditioning system working if the refrigerant (R134a) level is low.

This cut off only effects the air conditioning, the blower would still function normally.

SOURCE: air conditioning won't work on 2000 subaru outback

the most common cause of course is a low system refrigerent charge, this would be due to a leak, the most common cause of leakage is the front shaft seal of the AC compressor

SOURCE: ford ka heater blows hot air all the time

Your problem is a faulty heater control valve. The design used on these vehicles allows for hot water to flow constantly and compete with the evaporator as there is no blender door. You have to replace the valve and possibly the control head. Meanwhile, you can bypass the valve to have cold air

The air suspension compressor assembly has the ability to detect faults and indicate the appropriate fault code via a blink code on the inflator switch LED. Is the light on ?
The air suspension compressor assembly will indicate the code when the condition that caused the code is current. In some instances the air suspension compressor assembly may set a flag that requires the ASCM to be reset. The ASCM will reset on its own after the ignition has been turned off for more than 2 1/2 hours or if the air suspension fuse has been removed with the ignition key turned off.

My 2006 6 Santa Fe will get heat after it warms up but after about 30 minutes will start to blow cold air. Any ideas.

Right when it goes cold check the heater pipes are hot to work out where the problem lies ,if the pipes go cold then its circulation problem if the pipes are hot then its a problem with the control unit ,its has a microprocessor to work the climatic control and i suspect the later but them i am often wrong in these cases with all this fancy electronic gear on modern ideal is a radio with a volume controlwith built in on/off and a tuning knob ,heater controls where its a lever to turn the heater on or off ,a handbrake that lock the back wheels up at 30mph and nice thin steering wheel with the horn in the middle of it .But i think iam showing my age here

2004 ford focus ac blows warm when briskly accelerating. not full throttle. moderate acceleration no problem. temp change to warm is fast, 2 seconds, but back to cold, after letting off the gas, takes...

this is by design. under load, the computer will deactivate the air conditioning in order to take the load of the compressor off of the engine, thereby getting more power for required acceleration. the a c light will remain illuminated etc, and after you finish accelerating the air conditioning will resume normal operation.
