Why can't I hear fuel pump running 2000 tracker

I have found on a couple Trackers, the wiring connector on the inside of the fuel pump module assy, was burned. To check this, you will need to check powers and grounds to the tank. If yours is, you will need to replace the fuel pump module assy.

The fuel tank needs a certain amount of pressure to operate the fuel pump. Make sure the gas cap is tight, believe it or not if the fuel cap is loose or faulty the check engine light will come on. It could also be the fuel filter or also the fuel pump.

Start with the simple things first. Check air filter, change fuel filter, If that doesn't help change spark plugs, check fuel pump pressure.
